  1. On my 69 (w/302) the drivers side would hit the steering box. I tossed them and went long tube headers. Good luck.

  3. I'm on an uber-tight budget, so I'm doing TBI with a Megasquirt controller... plus I like the tune-ability of the MS. I don't really have any carb troubles, but would rather have FI for all its benefits. There are some really cool articles out there on FI conversions. Here's a few links. This first one covers OEM FI on an early motor... http://www.mustangsplus.com/tech/efi/index.html This one has a lot of great info including alternatives to suit different budgets... http://www.302w.com/Windsor_MegaSquirt_Part1.aspx This one I like because it details the fuel delivery and return system without tank modifications... http://www.midnightdsigns.com/james/FuelSystem.htm And this last one is done on a Bronco, but has some good pictures... http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/tech/03064wd_bronco_tbi_fuel_injection/index.html I've saved a bit of cash by making things like the TBI adapter, and the pressure accumulator, rather than buying pre-made stuff. There are some smoking deals out there if one is patient and consistant in their search to do FI A few examples... new MSD HP pump for $50 shipped, low pressure pump $45 shipped, complete TBI with sensors/wiring and SS braided flex lines from a 1 ton truck $44 at local self service yard, used sensors with pigtails for a $1 each, new O2 shipped for $21.00 and I made my TBI adapter from scrap aluminum plate for $10 I don't think it has to cost a lot to get great results. Good luck

  5. I'm just about done with the serp belt conversion, and I have some parts to get rid of... P/S pump, with bracket and pulley, no leaks or noises, water pump with less than 2k miles on it, needs gaskets. Two radiators, one a rebuildable 2 core for factory a/c cars, the other a 4 core for non a/c cars. 3 bolt dampener and 3 groove lower pulley. I'm new around here, so I can understand any hesitation in trusting a newb, but my ebay usesr is 4saleinsocal and I have 100% positive feedback. I'll paypal and ship, but most of these items are heavy and or bulky, so I think fees would be high. I prefer local pick up. The items are on CL so I though it would be easier to post a link with pictures. email me at forsaleinsocal@hotmail.com or through the CL link below. PM will work too. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pts/1133257479.html Thanks

  7. Very nice. What center console is that? Looks good too. Does it have a hinged top? Thanks.

  9. I used a bottle from a Maverick or Granada (can't remember which one) and mounted it is the space next to the washer bottle. It's cheap, effective and somewhat factory. It blended in very well with it's surroundings. I looked at other bottles but I wanted something that looked like it belonged. my .02

  11. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing. Somewhere I read that a simple adapter was all that was required to get the original hose to work with the 5.0 p/s pump, but I can't seem to find the information again. Does anyone know if such a thing exists and if so enlighten me as to what it looks like. I still have a lot of little things to finish up, but the bulk of this particular project is done.
