I have been looking for a newer truck since my 2000 Ranger died. I have looked at a few Rangers & they were way overpriced beat up trucks, then this truck came up on my wife's phone for sale. It is a 2005 F-150 2WD Regular Cab, bright red, with med gray cloth interior. It has the 5.4L V-8, Auto Trans, PS, PB, A/C, PL, PW, PM, AM/FM single CD radio, side steps, spray on bed liner, hard shell tonneau cover, & only 80,500 miles. I am the 3rd owner & it has a clean Carfax report, & I got all the maintenance records.

Mine is going to paint with the entire power train in, dash out, and doors, fenders, and hood off.  My body guy will then install all the body panel and line them up, then shoot the clear coat.  after that, install weather stripping, and back to me .   My engine compartment and undercarriage are already painted.
Also, if you do this, make sure you run the engine and test for leaks.  All I will do when I get the car back is bolt on trim, bumpers, lights, windows etc.
No matter how careful you are, it is too easy to scratch/dent/scrape new paint when trying to install the engine. Plus the hood has to be off.

We are now settled into our "new to us" home pictures are hung, ceiling fans put up & some other stuff done so now it is garage time. The property to the left of the carport that was very flat so we contracted with a local company to come out to pour a fotting & slab that a few weeks later the garage was put up. It is 24' wide x 25' deep with 11' high walls which BTW will be high enough for a lift. This is the new home for my Mustang & my wife's motorcycle. We have to have the electrical work done, insulated, & finished interior walls put up.

I used the dual cooling fans from a Ford Contour. I used a 24" radiator & I am running manual steering with a stock water pump. Here is a pic that shows how much clearance I have.

Rich, I used the Ford Contour dual cooling fans on a 24" radiator, & a serpentine drive for just an alternator. Here is a pic of the clearance I have between the pulley & the radiator.

I purchased a rebuilt box from Chock & with the roller idler arm that I got from Opentracker Racing it steers easy. They are great to deal with.

    Congrats on the new shop.
I wish I had that kind of space to expand into. Right now my oversized 3 car garage is a Tetris model, or more like a Rubix cube when moving things around. Your ceiling height is perfect. Being able to stand upright under the car is a real luxury.

I've been thinking I need to update my 80's vintage stock replacement front suspension too (creaks a lot) and Open Tracker has been on my radar ... need to open the wallet wider to go down the rabbit hole further !!

Doug, quite alright. Once the inside is finished my Mustang & my wife's motorcycle are going in the garage then her Bronco Sport can have the carport. I would have built it longer but the property starts to slope away a little & would have needed foundation work, the concrete was expensive enough for a 24 x 25.

Nicely Done!!!   After you powerwash the floor, ask your concrete guy what sealer he would recommend.  It will make cleanup easier later....
Go with LED overhead lighting, it is relatively cheap, and the light coverage is great.   You can mount it where the walls meet the ceiling and face the lights down at a 45 degree angle. Will prevent "hanging" lights.....

Wild pony welcome to the forum. I am also rebuilding a 69 Coupe that I acquired as a rolling shell 20 years ago. If you need a headliner I have an extra new one I would sell you less then new. Used Mustang parts check out Blue Ridge Mustang parts in Virginia, I have purchased parts from him in the past & very good to deal with. There also is a guy in Florida who sells used Mustang parts who I have purchased parts from & is a nice guy, his e mail is paparet2@juno.com. Hope that helps.
