  1. The panels they sell that the tank rests on would be l/s & r/s trunk floor, the section that the front of the gas tank rests on must be sectioned in, & the rear section that the gas tank sits on that is behind the tail light panel that runs from l/s frame rail to the r/s frame rail. If you look in my photobucket album I have a pic where I have the tail light panel out & the new l/s trunk floor in along with the rear gas tank support panel in also. Hope that helps. Mike.

  3. To remove the rest of the trim you will have to remove the headlight buckets from the fenders, & you can access the trim on the center gravel shield from under it. Mike.

  5. Ash, I would remove the front bumper first, it will make getting the headlight buckets off easier. Mike.

  7. Ash, WOW!!! your woodworking looks great. I was big into woodworking for about 10 years but it has since been put on hold as the Mustang now is more important to work on, besides that the house we are living in now only has a one car garage & no basement & not much property for a large shed. I like building furniture, bookcases, desks, tables, & a dresser for my wife. Mike.

  9. Yes that is where I placed them when doing the work in the rear & I put a piece of 3/4" plywood between the jack stand & the rear torque box.

  15. Nick, on my Coupe I replaced the tail light panel, the l/s trunk floor, & the rear gas tank support panel that is right behind the tail light panel & someone suggested I put the jack stands under the rear torque boxs like Chelby-Ann said above instead of where I had them under the rear axle housing. Check out my build album I have some pics there of the work I am doing. Mike.

  21. Looks like you have a good starting point for your project, at least you have more to start with then I did with my 69 Coupe project. I also have to replace the l/s floor pan & torque box.
