  1. Today I spent a couple hours cutting out a piece of rotted metal from the lower l/s door jamb "B" pillar by the rocker panel. I fabbed up a piece from some metal I had. Sorry I didnt take any pic, but I have a little more fitting to do & before I weld it in I will snap a pic & post it.
  2. I can relate to what you said about the pink dust everywhere, last year when I stripped off the old blue paint from my 69 Coupe everything in my garage was covered with light blue dust.
  3. You are welcome, thats why we all come here to help each other out when needed. It just happens my car is torn apart so it was no big deal & I am glad I could help someone out when needed. Mike.
  4. Junior, it is looking good. Keep up the good work & keep the pics comming, it is inspiration for me & probably for others too.
  5. Back in the mid 70's when I starting driving my first 2 Mustangs were 4 wheel drum brakes & what you are describing sounds like the drivers side brake is adjusted tighter the the passengers side.
  6. Chuck, My 69 Coupe is a manual drum car but a 302 originally. All 4 bolts are a 9/16" head, & the 2 top bolts which I can break free & remove look like they are 3/8" threads. I cant get a good bite on the master cylinder bolts to get one out to measure as I have stuff along that side of the car in my 1 car garage. Hope that helps you out a little.
  7. Thanks for the info & the pics Mike. GREAT work.
  8. I aquired a set of 70 bolt in glass to do the swap on my 69 Coupe when I start putting it back together & was told at the time to replace front & rear glass to the 70 bolt in style.
  9. I finally got a chance to hang the r/s door after replacing the door skin. I did notice the lower left corner needs a little work, otherwise I think the fit is quite good.
  10. Mike let us know what works for you as I am in the same spot as you, my pass side front fender has the hole in the fender for the stock antenna too.
  11. For anyone who has replaced the door skin on a mustang what would be the best way to fold over the edge of the door skin on the shell across the bottom of the skin to get it to be flat against the shell body without damaging the outer skin surface so I can weld it?. I tried hammering it flat but that only works along the sides, not along the bottom due to the angle of the skin to the bottom of the door shell. Any help would be appreciated as I am ready to weld it & re hang the door.
  12. I remember on my 68 GT Coupe I used to have when I ended the exhaust at the rear axle I would get exhaust smell in the car with the windows open but once I ran tail pipes out past the rear valance it went away.
  13. I like that body style of the Torino. Good luck with the car, hope you get it.
  14. Ash, As I was looking at the side pic you posted I was sayingthat I thought the stripe should be straight all the way down the side & seeing the pic of the black Mach-1 you posted just confirms what I thought. Keep up the good work. The 65 Coupe looks great.
  15. Update on the r/s door, I finally received the door skin & installed it today, looks good. Now I just have to weld it on, I also have to figure home to fully crimp the lower portion of the door skin over the shell. I also had pulled apart the r/s door hinges to rebuild them before hanging the door. The top one came out great, the bottom the holes are out of round due to the hinge being bad for so long. That one is going to require some work so I do not have to buy another one.
  16. I purchased a "B" pillar with the striker from a Mustang Coupe to use on my 69 Coupe but found I can fix mine with a small piece of metal. I want to sell it $20.00 plus shipping. The piece has a spot at the bottom of the pillar the is rusted out that can easily be fixed. Anyone interested shoot me a PM. I will take any reasonable offer. Mike.
  17. Thanks for the help & the pics, that is why I look here first for the help I need on my Mustang. You guys are GREAT!!.
  18. Can someone who has their car apart post a pic of the r/s (pass side) upper door hinge please?. I took mine apart to clean & rebuild them & when I cleaned them, like a doofus I cleaned my reference marks. HELP me please.
  19. Mike, I thought there was a company that made a kit for our cars, that you just have to swap to the bolt in glass. Mike.
  20. I will let everyone know how I make out I am waiting for a r/s door skin for my 69 Coupe. I ordered the Dnycorn door skin & it is currently on back order at Cj Pony Parts.
  21. I have the same book which I bought when I had my first Mustang.
  22. :punk: Looks good Buckeye, hope mine looks half as good some day. Keep up the good work.
  23. It is a nice looking car except I do not care for the tail lights & it missing the gas cap in the tail light panel doesnt look right.
