I too installed the Vintage LED set up recently.  You can see it is pixelated some compared the stock bulb with just the lights on. But as bright as they are, I should have done it much sooner and VERY HAPPY with the quality and ease of install of the Vintage LED product.  I did the front turn signals and back up lights as well.   Here is a quick video as well of the, it does flare the camera a little as bright as they are, but I love the setup.  I also like that when you hit the brakes it can do just solid and on sequential.

Its pretty "basic".  I am running Street Or Track coil over setup up front and adjusted to the height I liked and needed for clearance (Damn long tubes).  The rear is mid eye spring with 2 in lower blocks. Fenders were all rolled at body shop when it was in for paint to make as much room for the larger tires as possible.

    Hey TexasEd,
I like your overall vision statement as mine is very similar with a bit of a lean towards the Pro-touring/Restomod vehicle.  I wanted more modern drive and conveniences of a modern car, but had to keep the original body with some slight changes that don't stand out drastically, but to make it slightly different.
A quick list of modern conveniences:
    Vintage Air AC
    Unisteer Power Steering

    Street or Track Upgrades Suspension
TMI Covered Foxbodies in Mach 1 Upholstery
    3 Point Front Seat belts
LED tail lights and Halogen Headlights
    Body Changes:

Understood.  You could possibly do the same set up just use the Carb Regulator.  If you ever switch to EFI, just swap out the regulator.
And yes the right PTFE is not cheap and I did get the good stuff as I read the same things about the pin holes.  Certainly didn't want that issue.

Excellent choice on the suspension upgrades!  Some day I hope to do the same.  As you know we have twin cars with the same wheel and tire package.  I've been mulling the MTF minitub as well but may just pie-cut and reweld the area where the tire rubs on the front inside wheelwell to get me by until the suspension upgrades.  Keep us in the loop on how the install goes!

Regarding the 7/16" for Vintage Venom, one thing you may consider is swapping out the VV bracket and spacer for the Mustang Steve brackets. Those have a 2 piece offset caliper bracket, which avoids the need for the 7/16" spacer for caliper alignment. You'd be $200 into those brackets, which has got to be easier than shortening your axles and tubes (plus pulling all of that and getting it to a shop).

So trying to figure out what is the best way to go in my situation.  Getting back to working on my 70 Mach 1, lots has been planned and many parts already purchased.  I'm looking at doing a minitub on it and am swaying towards the MTF tubs.  Looked at the DS tubs and Dynacorn tubs but don't really want to deal with interior mods.
I already have the SorT coilover kit for the front and rear.  Years ago I purchased the Vintage Venom Cobra brake kit and installed it.  That's where I'm hoping to get some advice from someone that may know or can give me better advice then my thinking.

In the rear the Vintage Venom kit uses a bracket for the caliper and a hubcentric spacer that moves the wheel out approximately 7/16".  The MTF mimitubs give around 2" more of width in the wheelwell, if I understand correctly. (Has anyone done these on a 69-70 that would share some pictures? If so there appears to be a section towards the front that the tub doesn't sit flush with the rail.  What is the measurement from the rail to the inner edge of the tub in that area?).  So the SorT rear kit I purchased you weld the brackets on your rear housing.  Figured since I have the rear out I'm thinking about narrowing it to get my 7/16" back on each side.  Well you know what happens when car guys start thinking.  Now I'm debating if I should just go down to the width of a 65-66 rear.

    65-66  57.25"
               58.375" If I remove 7/16" per side for a total of ⅞".
    69-70  59.25"

I assume this rear measurement is housing flange to housing flange.  Is that correct?

In the attached pictures it shows currently how the car sits.  The rear tires are:

    Rims: 17x10.5
    Back Spacing: 6.8" (174mm)
    Offset: +28mm (1.10")
    Tires 315/35/17's

I'm staying with this size tire at minimum, but will explore going wider if I can.  I've also thought about calling Quick Performance and just getting them to do a new housing for me.  If I go with the 65-66 width, will my axles work as they are?  Can I just have them shortened and resplined if needed? They are  31 spline axles.

I'm making progress on the Mustang again. Probably gonna make a post on my buildthread again soon. My brother's 'cuda is doing great. Got some track time a month ago, first time with the Tremec T-56 and the Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI, so that was fun. The car worked great all day, but had powerloss at the top end. So we're chasing that one. Think the fuel pump just ran out of juice (electrical that is), so we're trying another relay with much heavier gauge wires.

Kinda got away from TexasEd's topic so let me explain ?  Just like you guys I have spent plenty of time and money getting my car back into original condition.  In my case ' the vision ' was to get it back into original 428 SCJ condition.  First I had to get it running.  Sound familiar ?  So got it running sorta alright and turned my attention to the other things.  Body and paint were good when I got the car in 2009.  Interior needed carpet and upholstery and some other odds and ends.  Suspension needed a little help as well. That accomplished it was back to the drive train.  My OE heads came with a solid lifter valve train and the SCJ rotating assembly was gone but a CJ assembly was in it's place.  I elected to leave that stuff for another day.  I have re-built or replaced just about everything else.  Clutch was a bit of a dilemma but finally got a stock 11.5" to perform as intended.  Trans has been the rock in this project.  Not needing anything.  Rebuilt the stock shifter with help and parts from Bill Heeley.  Randy Gillis put together the correct 4.30 rear end for me.  So with a car like this the ' the vision ' is getting down the quarter mile with a good time and without breaking.   Brian

I would recommend call all the different companies yourself.  I did that and ended up with Street or Track coil over set up.  Shaun was awesome to work with and is very knowledgeable about mustang suspension and can talk through many options that he can offer. I would also price the options yourself as I started looking at just upgraded stock parts and ended up going coil overs based on the pricing and what I wanted from my car.
I have no regrets and 100% completely happy with my set up.  Car rides awesome and have no issues.
Good luck, lots of options out there.
