  1. Do you have his contact info. I need to contact him for a part but the add is deleted thanks Scott
  2. For a mild 302 2.5 in tubing should be fine. The sound is usually a preference deal, but I personally like the magna flow set up. Nice sound and not overly loud for riding around as well. My brother put them on his 68 with a fairly stick 302 and it sounds really good. Good luck with the project
  3. I posted a bit more info on this thread. Thought I would share http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=7235 Hope that helps some. I found that the 18X9 was a bit too big for the front. I chose the same style for the rear and did a 17X8 and fit MUCH better with no rubbing even with lowering the car
  4. Looks good. Great color. I am ready for Spring as well....
  5. Thanks for the compliments. Pretty basic actually. It is a mid eye spring with 2 in lowering blocks. When I first put the mid eye on, it rasied the car slightly, with the old spring sagging so bad. I am running a 305x35x18 DR, and there is about 1/2in clearence to the leaf spring. I did have to massage the inner fender well, in front of the axle a bit in order to not get any rubbing, but no cutting required. While the car is in the body shop as well, I am having the fender lips rolled just to have a bit more clearence as well. It is a standard wheel backspacing on a deep dish rear wheel, for 94-04, which I believe is 6.38 on this particular wheel. The front is using 620lb 1.5 in drop coils, but with the big block, it dropped a little more and honestly I am not 100% sure they were 620lbers. These as well are 17x8's for 94-04 with I think a 5.72 backspacing, but I am using a 1 in spacer for the front. Hope that helps. Thanks Scott
  6. I am running 18X10 out back with no spacer (had to massage the inner fender slightly) and 17X8 up front with a 1 in spacer. These are wheels that fit 94-04 mustangs.
  7. Yes. I had the 18X9 but it was too wide when I lowered the car so I went down to the 17X8 up front, and now there is plenty of room from the control arm. I did the suspension kit from Laurel mountain with 1 in drop coil, which I think it dropped a little more with the big block. Mid eye rear springs with 2 in lowering blocks. I am running 245/45 up from and 305/35 out back.
  8. I am running 18X10 out back and 17X8 up front. the 18X9 was a bit too big up front so I went down in size. They are for the 94-04 years and I am running a 1 in spacer on the front.
  9. That was what happened with mine. With mid eye rears, it actaully raised the rear by about a 1/2 inch. It wasnt much, but the old ones were sagging pretty bad.
  10. That is awesome. Car looks and sounds great. Would be interesting to see how it would do again with the new brake setup. I am sure it is a huge difference with the upgraded parts.
  11. Very Cool. I always loved those cars. Honestly way before their time. You have any more info on either of them, would like to see more of them.... Keep us updated
  12. Just wanted to share some pics since I have been lurking for a while. First kudos on a great site with great info. From this site I was able to upgrade to 70 Bolt in side windows, which to me was the best upgrade on the car so far. As for the car, it is a 69 S code MACH 1. My dad bought it in 1991, where it was driven on a off for a few years, until 1998, when the motor blew up and then it sat for years. Well 2 years ago, I went and got the car and started getting it ready for the road. I rebuilt the motor and had the tranny rebuilt, added a small cam, alum intake and long tubes. Here is what it looked like when I picked it up Drove it for a bit and then this year I rebuilt all of the suspension. Used the Laurel Mountain Suspension kit, front and rear and 620 1" lowering springs, shelby drop, and mid eye rears with 2 in lowering blocks in the rear. Running Bullitt style wheels from a late model 17X8 with 245/45/18's up front, 18X10 with 305/3/18's out back. Have to still rebuild the rear, and some work on the inside, and some body and paint work left. Here is how it sits now Again, great site and will be keeping an eye out for more great info

  14. You would need to get a set of windows brackets. You could source them used or buy them new from NPD. Kinda pricey, but nice pieces.

  16. I had glue in on mine and switched to the 70 style Bolt in windows, from advice from this site, and honestly, one of the best mods I ever did on my car.

  18. Man, sorry about your bad experience. True good shops seem to be getting hard to find any more. Like most this may help with you wanting to do some of the work yourself. Should help with some of the less complicated jobs. Glad to see it is running and hope the inspection goes well.
