  1. Never mind. I found some pixs of it in my archive. It should be a snap with those brackets. $35/pair.

  3. Cool! Do you have any pictures that you could post? I'd like to see what exactly you had to cut and where...and how those brackets mount. I have a pix of the brackets and see the mounting hole your talking about. Thanks! Jim

  5. I'm trying to find the location to install the rear spoiler on a non-rear spoiler car (mine). All i have found is reference to a Mustang and Fords magazine article that was published in 1999. Would anyone here have a copy and be willing to scan or take a photo and post the details? Spoiled Again! ( Install Front & Rear Spoiler ) : Mustang & Fords, May 1999 p.42 Thanks in advance. Burn

  7. Nice project! What color are you planning on painting that bad boy?
  8. Nice project! What color are you planning on painting that bad boy?
  9. What size wheels and tires are you running on the Red one in you sig. They look really "Fat".
  10. What's your plan for the car? I hope you're not getting your hopes up on the car being "Solid". The pix's show quite a bit of rust and the white paint is covering up a lot too. The owner said "Minor rust in the pass side door jam". It looks pretty major to me. I'm sure you know what your doing though. I don't know how to do major body repair, so this car would cost me a lot...Just like the one I have. :scared:
  11. http://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/paint_info.htm Half-way down the page you'll see info on hood blackout paint mixture for '71 Mustangs. The guy seems to think his mixture and process is pretty close to the original. I'm not sure if the blackout color use on the '69 is the same as that on the '71's.
  12. Maybe this will help. It’s scanned 1:1 in a PDF (adobe acrobat) format. I haven’t double checked the dimensions yet.
  13. It looks really good! How does it handle? Is the change big or small? Burn
  14. I've been wondering the same and I think 295/50/15 is the widest on a 15x8 w/4.5 BS. See the Blue Mach 1 below. I think they look good, but a little too big for my taste. I've decided to go 275/50/15's Rear and 235/60/15 on the front. I might change the fronts to 225/60's because I want a slight rake with the rear a little taller. I'm also going with 1" drop front coil springs up front and grab-a-track 4.5 leaf, mid eye (1" lower) on the rear. Hopefully it will look okay. I’ll be running Wheel Vintiques 54 Series Magnum 500’s 15x7 w/4.25 BS and 15x8 w/4.5 BS. I haven't found anyone running my combo. Bnickle used to run these tires, but not on a fastback and not a 1" drop, so his look and clearance would be a little different. The pix's below were cars on ebay. I contacted the seller to see what size wheel/tire combo they were running. Boss 302 has 15x8's 255/60/15 (rear) and 15x7 245/60/15 (fronts) Car looks lowered 1 to 2.5 inches. The Gold Mach1 has 255/60/15 rears and 235/60/15 fronts. No motor in the car, so it sits high. Should be a 428ci. The Blue Mach 1 has 295/50/15 rear (that’s right 50's) and 235/60/15's front. Looks like stock suspension w/351w. Coz is running 275/60/15's 15x8 and 225/70/15's 15x7s. I think he's running air shocks on the rear, so I don’t know if they are needed or not for clearance. Let us know what you decide. Here is a cool tire size chart I found for the Old School BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s. http://www.buicks.net/shop/reference/tires.html
  15. I like to procrastinate, but I did FedEx them back today. I’m anxious to see if they refund my shipping or not. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> This post is basically just a FYI. I’m hoping someone can learn from my mishap. <o:p></o:p> Cheers! <o:p></o:p> Burn OUT!<o:p></o:p>
  16. Give up? Well, the gray ones are the real Traction Masters. As you can see, the diameter of the tube is larger (1.125â€)and it looks better built. The TM's also weigh about 2-3 lbs more. Also, the real TM's have an M-1 casting on the ends.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Why the hell do I have both sets?? We'll I ordered the fake ones from Dallas Mustang Parts. Their catalog said "original traction masters" but when they arrived they didn't have the M-1 so I called TM to verify if they were the real deal. NOPE!<o:p></o:p> So I ended up ordering directly from Traction Master. Great company, Great customer service and fast shipping. Packaging was 50 times better than DM too. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> The gold fake ones are awful purdy, but not strong enough to be on my car. The cost difference between the two is only $20 so why not buy the real deal, Right!<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> http://tractionmaster.com/<o:p></o:p> :tongue_smilie:
  17. Most early 289, 302 and 351w's are 28oz and 164 tooth flyweel (for 3 or 4 speed bellhouse) Newer 302's are 50oz and 157 tooth flywheel (T5 bellhouse) I think all 351w's were balanced 28oz from the factory.
  18. Can you tell which are real Traction Masters and which are the repo's? :shifty: Don't go to their website and cheat either!
  19. Sweet project. Are you going back with the Gulfstream Aqua Metallic paint?
