  1. OK, So the front seal is fixed and I had the shop do the proper tuning on the MSD HEI and fine tune the carb. What a difference in performance. I mean the car pulled out very nicely to begin with but now....WOW !!! It's a huge difference. It sure helps when ya know what your doing...I'm just a dumb car painter, not a mechanic so when I did the timing it wasn't quit right...or even close from what I hear !!! :whistling: But its all good now...very good !! Next....Try to repair the center console.....:helpsmilie:
  2. Well I haven't updated in a while. I finally got the 351 emblems and got them on. I also found a passenger side dash panel with the rectangle clock insert...Hopefully it will be here soon. I haven't decided yet if Im gonna put a digital clock in or redo the original only with quartz inards... I also have all the glass in but holly :censored: I just can not get them lined up very well....patients is a virtue I know but yikes...what a pain in the ASS.... Now for the bad...I came home the other day after putting on about 50 miles, parked the car in the garage and went in the house..came out a few hours later and there was a puddle of oil under the front of the car. I opened the hood and there was oil splattered on the passenger side inner front fender and a bit on the hood. It was coming out from under the balancer in the front. I was thinking it may be from where the key is on the balancer. But Im not that lucky. Seems the front seal had a crack in it:cursing:. So as I type this its in the shop getting a new seal. The damn thing has only 500 miles on it and its already in the shop. I will be going after the engine builder for the cost of the repair, but I don't like my chances....I'll update with the results....
  3. Sure....Send me a plane ticket, set me up with a room at the Crowne Plaza...ya know, the one across the street from the nudey bar :whistling:... and sign a blank check....
  4. LOL....I've had a few of those night as well !!!:sailor:
  5. A couple of more pics..... I had to include an engine shot for Bill :whistling:
  6. Well I haven't posted in a while but I have got some things completed. I finally got the hood and scoop painted and the scoop installed. I have not yet received the 351 emblems for the hood scoop so for now I have just put on some Cobra emblems. Once the 351 emblems show up I will swap them out. The hood and scoop are painted black with sapphire blue pearl. It cam out very nice. I got the signal lights wired and everything works great
  7. Proving he did the damage will be very tough. But I agree with Pak....Why is he not giving you your deposit back !!? Did he do any work to the car ? How much did you give him? Was it cash or a cheque ?
  8. This is a great reason why I ALWAYS take pictures of my car before leaving it anywhere.
  9. Yes there are spot welds....All along inside the door edge. You will still need to grind those down. Running a grinder along the edge to take the skin off takes very little time. Save the 8 bucks and the time going out to get the tool. In the time it takes to go get the tool the skins could be off !!
  10. Well I took the day off of work today to rip off the hood and cowl. Im gonna be putting the hood scoop on and painting the hood, scoop and cowl black with blue pearl. Hopefully I get it all done today. Looking forward to seeing the scoop on and it all painted !! I will post some pics when Im done.

  16. The backs are 245's. The 245's just wouldn't work on the front without rubbing. The wheels are 8". I'm really glad I don't need to do anything more with the front suspension. With the 2" raise Im happy with it now. But like I mentioned earlier, I'm not big on the back end now. That's the beauty of these builds....always playing with something :001_huh:. Im thinking about 2" lowering blocks for the back. That should look way better.

  18. Yes...The back is too high....I have to lower it...Im looking at 2" lowering blocks

  20. Well their on !!! They couldn't make the 245/45's work so I had to go to 225/45. Boy what a difference !! It solved my front end being too low issue. I used to have only 2" of clearance, now I have almost 4. So I'm really happy about that.

  22. Well the new tire/Wheels definitely made a big difference !! They couldn't get the 245/45's to work without rubbing on the fronts, instead I had to go to 225/45's. But it still raised the front enough that I should be OK... It went from 2" at the sway bar up to 4". Below are the before and after pics at the sway bar.
