  1. Hello Fellow Mustang Enthusiast I'm new and hope to keep my 9 Alive. Finally assembled and ready to start. How can I protect my car from an overcharge situation. My alternator pigtail ground was pretty fried and so was the ground wire for the alternator at the body bolt under the regulator. I've fixed all the wires. The fusible link seems fine. I found the bad wires after a crank no start situation. Turns out it was the 3 wire connector to the coil. The temp and oil sending wires were good, but the red coil wire was frayed inside the loom cover. Anyone know where to get a replacement pigtail for the body harness to alternator? A flat 3 wire for trailers is close, but the wire is too light for alternator use.
