  1. Has anybody every used ARP PERMA-LOC Rocker Arm Adjusters (Polylocks)? They claim that the Rocker Arm will not loosen which to me means no more periodic valve lashing. Thanks, Scott

  3. My '69 has front disc and rear drum. On the front disc there is a spring clip attached to a pin on the outside pad. What is the trick to removing these clips? I tried tried compressing the clips then pull backward but it still doessn't budge. Thanks for your help. Scott

  5. Thanks Mach1Rider. I'll check the front pad level and bleed the brakes as a first step.
  6. Hey guys, I've got a brake question for you. I have Power Assist brakes; front disc, rear drum. I noticed that some brake fluid was leaking from the top of the master cylinder. When I pulled the top off the cylinder I noticed the front resevoir was very full (almost spilling out) and the rear resevoir was over an inch low. I got a new cylinder gasket, cleaned the outside of the cylinder up, topped off the brake fluid in the rear resevoir then re-installed the top. I tweaked the hold down clamp a bit so it would fit real snug. After this I went for a ride. When I got back I had mucho brake fluid seeping out from the top of the master cylinder. Most of it was on the front end (small resevoir side). Is the Master Cylinder bad or is this something else? I did the Power Booster test (pump brakes with engine off to dump vacuum then start engine with foot on brake) and the pedal did move down about and inch. Thanks, Scott
  7. Thanks for the information. I'm always learning something new about this car..gotta love it.
  8. I've always wondered about the green dial pointer in the passenger side clock. Does anyone know what it is/was intented to do? Thanks, Scott 1969 Mach 1 351C Stroker - 4 Speed
  9. Mach1, Thank for the info. I'll measure and see what I've got.
  10. About 8K on the motor but the previous owner did the build.
  11. Mike, The teeth on the dizzy look good and the total timing checked out at 37. I appreciate the caliper suggestion. Thanks, Scott
  12. This is a photo of my 351C looking down the dizzy hole. It appears that there has been some grinding of the seat (not sure what else to call it) next to the camshaft gear. I'm running a comp cam 282S (solid) with a Mallory Unilite Mech Advance Dizzy (steel shaft). The gear on the dizzy looks good and I don't see any issues with the small piece of the cam gear I can see down the shaft. I pulled the dizzy because I was seeing higher than normal timing (25 @ 900 rpm) on a routine check of my timing light. Other than that cars starts and runs good. I couldn't find any pictures 'down the dizzy hole' online so I would appreciate it if I could get your input on the probable cause and severity of the problem. Thanks alot, Scott 1969 Mach 1, 351C Stroker, 4 speed, Restomod
