staffy got a reaction from RPM in Garage/Shop and Tool Hordes...Show us what ya got!!!
You guys in the US are so lucky to have space and relatively cheap real estate, unless of course you live in cities like San Fran, Seattle etc. Real estate and space over here in the U.K. is expensive and hard to come back.
not long finished my new garage, 6metresx4metres which I think is small by US standards, but I managed to get in a 2 post hoist and lots of Dexion storage racking,
id love a lathe to teach myself but alas unlikely as not enough space :-(

I have one. Get the bigger batteries and they will last quite a while . I use mine for tear down ,it will zip fenders quick and easy . It will handle most smaller bolts ,i have used mine to remove bumpers but any bigger bolt it probably will not touch

Great work as ever. I’ve just bought a ‘68 fastback project, so I’ll watch your project with interest.
Keep up the great work.

Sorry guys no6 had chance r]to do many updates.
I work as a Chief Engineer/Head of Facilties for a group of hospitals in the U.K., so been rather busy with Covid19, but still getting sporadic hours on her, had a week off recently and spent It on the car.
Summary; Put U pol raptor on inside, front rad support replaced, took hood, trunk and other panels down to bare metal, etch and high filler primer applied.
started to get the panels back on and aligned, I really hate this part of the job !
hopefully the car will be collected for paint in next 1/2 weeks, going for a black top coat.

National Mustang Convention in New Zealand won best in show, best in class and entrance choice.
Another show with 100k spectators won Top 20 for Fords. Craig has done very well at all the shows.

Now you're gona make me blush... I have been inspired by so many other's who have talents much greater than mine, and many of them I've had the privilege to train. I'm just a little OCD :)
It was a pleasure to serve, and I appreciate everyone's efforts.

staffy reacted to latoracing in Boss 302 shock tower reinforcements
I did templates of the areas to fill in and cut them out of some leftover 11ga. I also fully welded all the seams on the shock towers before installing the plates, then fully welded them in place. The big block reinforcements were also fabricated (these are out of 7ga) and fully welded and blended. The inner brace was more 7ga, fully welded.

Got all the interior color done. Still have clear to do This afternoon but it looks good. The color is F8 green. It’s a 2019 dodge color. The first picture doesn’t do it justice due to being in the shade and no clear on it. You can see the metal flake and more of the actual color in the last picture.

staffy reacted to Midlife in Midlife Harness Restoration Status
I'm on my way back fromTucson and spent 3 days searching for housing that might fit my needs. Found 2 or 3, but were either in a terrible neighborhood or 10+ miles out of town with nothing nearby. I ended up finding a very nice rental property for the time being, and I hope to move here by mid-November.
The bad news: I might not have space available to have the business up and running when I finally move in and settle. I'll know more once I'm here. I'll notify y'all what will be happening.
The real bad news: I'll still be here offering wise cracks and crummy advice. Sorry 'bout that..

I am getting a little closer to finishing up the front torque box replacement. I had my neighbor (frame/body guy)come by yesterday to see what I needed to do next. He said drill 5/16" holes in the replacement panel where the original spot welds were. That way we can fill them in with weld and make it look as stock as possible. He also said where there are gaps put in a 5/16" self tapping screw to pull it up tight and we will fill the holes in after welding. This may be common knowledge to you guys but I wanted to pass it along in case someone like me is doing research on replacing the torque box.
