  1. I don't think you'll have any problems with stock shocks. The bump stops will prevent bottoming out. It's sorta like door windows when the top is chopped. Use the stock glass but the window doesn't get rolled up all the way in the channels. Bob
  2. I don't know if it's you Steve, but there's a 69 in Cali with a vin very close to mine, 9R02M133461. I kinda like that home brew ram air. Bob
  3. Go ahead and buy it. Since I've gone thru and rebuilt my box I'm gonna keep searching for just the motor/fan. Thanks. Bob
  4. Non A/C car. I'm in Bakersfield, Can 93311. 661-380-5964 Bob
  5. Hey 69 volunteer, you still around? Bob
  6. Well, I just looked thru your pics. WOW! Lots of nice work. Bob
  7. Welcome to the forum. Good advice so far. And without pictures, no one believes you have a Mach One :) Bob
  8. Oh well, at least you get to make a mess in someone else's place :) Looks like we're both Bulldog fans. But mind are from Fresno State. Your Dogs sure whooped Rice. Nice game. Bob
  9. As long as you go with a common size coil over with a 2-1/2" diameter spring, several companies (AFCO, QA1, Eibach, Bilstein and others) make quality springs in a wide variety of rates. For example on front set ups with a 12" length spring which mounts to the lower arm as most have, Ron Morris uses 350# for small blocks, other companies use 450#. But you can get the springs in 25# increments to pick whichever fits you and your set up. Even though SoT offers three spring rates, you are not limited to those. There are several sites that have spring rate calculators to get your set up close. Rear suspensions have the same variations in spring rates depending on the company. But it all boils down to your preference on the comfort you want, and the type of driving you do. Good luck. Bob
  10. The bottom of the hole in the door is 1" above the hinge top and 1/8" in from the outer edge. Bob
  11. Purdy color. Body looks very straight. Is that your shop? Of so, very cool. Bob
  12. It's good that it's finally available. But unless originality is needed even a rebuild kit from West Coast Classic Cougar is expensive. Wildwood makes an adjustable prop valve/distribution block for about $75. Guess with my shadow pockets I made the right choice in letting my brother buy the 69 R code scj drag pack I located (not!) that he's kept original. Bob
  13. Ohhhh, those look real nice! And I was just razzing you on the seat riser hump. Happy happy. Bob
  14. Welcome Bob! You're not the only Bob from central cal :) There's a another member from Visalia with a top shelf Mustang, Cruzzar. If your car ends up 1/3 the quality of his, it'll be very nice. Pics, we need pics of you car! Very friendly and knowledgeable folks here, enjoy! Bob
  15. Dang, you got skills! Nice work. Bob
  16. Welcome to the site Bruno! Northern California? That's a pretty big chunk of land, can you narrow it down? After you tear down the 69, you'll wish you asked the realtor to find a 4 car garage!!! Good luck on your build. Bob
  17. That low battery thing is your car telling you she needs driven MORE! Bob
  18. Purdy work. I thought you'd have that seat riser center section in by now :( Bob
  19. Some serious wheel envy. I'm loving those wheels. Nice choice. What brand of spacers are those? Bob
  20. Very nice progress. Pretty blue exterior color. Bob
  21. Well, I don't know how many Mericans would go to the lengths you guys do to save these cars. Y'all got my respect. And kudos on picking the best looking car EVER! Bob
