Welcome to the forum. Good advice so far. And without pictures, no one believes you have a Mach One :)

coil overs will be fine with DD is just depends on how stiff you want it to be, I went with SOT coilvoer kit because they had 3 different type of spring rates. As long as you go with a common size coil over with a 2-1/2" diameter spring, several companies (AFCO, QA1, Eibach, Bilstein and others) make quality springs in a wide variety of rates. For example on front set ups with a 12" length spring which mounts to the lower arm as most have, Ron Morris uses 350# for small blocks, other companies use 450#. But you can get the springs in 25# increments to pick whichever fits you and your set up. Even though SoT offers three spring rates, you are not limited to those. There are several sites that have spring rate calculators to get your set up close. Rear suspensions have the same variations in spring rates depending on the company. But it all boils down to your preference on the comfort you want, and the type of driving you do. Good luck.

Purdy color. Body looks very straight. Is that your shop? Of so, very cool.

It's good that it's finally available. But unless originality is needed even a rebuild kit from West Coast Classic Cougar is expensive. Wildwood makes an adjustable prop valve/distribution block for about $75. Guess with my shadow pockets I made the right choice in letting my brother buy the 69 R code scj drag pack I located (not!) that he's kept original.

The measurements in the chart are correct, front rail is higher than the rear.I'm in the process of building a JIG so that I may replace the front frame rails, no rust prior accident damage with poor repair. Sorry for the poor photo's, it was cold & dark.:
Smart move, I like the way you think!

Welcome to the site Bruno! Northern California? That's a pretty big chunk of land, can you narrow it down?
After you tear down the 69, you'll wish you asked the realtor to find a 4 car garage!!! Good luck on your build.

Some serious wheel envy. I'm loving those wheels. Nice choice. What brand of spacers are those?

Hehe, yeah, a bit to far. The freight of the car was "only" about $1300 across the atlantic ocean. Most of the time the shipping of parts cost more the actual parts. :blink:Well, I don't know how many Mericans would go to the lengths you guys do to save these cars. Y'all got my respect. And kudos on picking the best looking car EVER!

RPM - I´m located in Sweden, might be a bit to far for any of you guys to help me :-)/M
Yikes! Sweden? Just a bit too far for me. I'm still amazed by all the cool cars you guys get to Europe and Australia. I'll complain about a $100 tow bill. Can't imagine what it takes to get parts and cars delivered. Good luck with your car.

Yikes, got some work ahead of you eh? It's truly amazing what the bare shell looks like when completely stripped. I "thought" mine was pristine, until it was blasted clean. My hat's off to you. Good luck.

Oh great, another silver jade 69 Mach One to make me regret going with Porsche Indian red instead of the original silver jade. Seriously though, congrats on the nice purchase. Where in SoCal are you located? Did you find the car locally?
