You've about got it to a point where it's way too nice to drive.
-
Welcome to the forum Bryant! Welp, I'd probably use brute force and destroy a few hundred dollars in parts. You can remove the flexible fuel filler line that connects the tank and metal filter tube which is located in the trunk to add more gas. You might also be able to access the screws holding the cap to the rear body panel from inside the trunk. Maybe not. I'm assuming you're gas cap is the flip style. How about posting some pics of your new pride and joy, and share a bit about you and your Mustang?
-
Welp, it sure looks good sitting there. Hopefully your troubles are behind you.
-
Unfortunately only @bswor can add moderators. Wish he'd reply.
-
Damn. I'd be quite content with those numbers.
-
Well that certainly sucks. Ya might be able to get by with a door skin and repair the rest. Where are you located?
-
@bswor, since there's only about 10 members posting here how about you make them all moderators so Phil and I can get some help flagging and deleting.
-
I spend more time here flagging spammers and deleting posts than reading car stuff. It's getting real old.

Seeing how every Russian bot that posted today, and there have been a $hit ton today, all joined at least one year ago. Some joined 5 years ago.

John I couldn't get that tri panel area all lined up on mine, just did the best I could. Since the fender extension on all cars doesn't have the same curve where it meets the hood, and mine and others doesn't match the fender and valance, I'm thinking the fender extension was just made with the wrong contours.

How deep is the throat? Yikes, that sounds like a movie title.

What did you do to/for your Mustang today?

Nothing wrong with that video Ed. Where did you learn the trick of working from the back side of the polisher motor? That is ingenious. -
Me likey too. Wish our Mustangs didn't have such a large hood reinforcement under it, as it makes it difficult to get to most of the hood skin. Jim, does this photo show the recommended technique to fix too much hood bow?
-
I added one for you Gypsy. Terry will know it's not from me cuz we don't get along. :)

Hey there, welcome back. Your 69 looks nice. Be aware that the website lately has gone offline about halfway thru the month, the come back online on the first when the bandwidth is back to the monthly allowance. Several guys are on MustangSteve, VMF, and stangnet.com.

Pound that bent strut rod straight and run it. If not, I've got a pair of good used strut rods I'll make you a heck of a deal on. Don't know if 67 and 69 are interchangeable, someone here should know. Bob 661-749-3886

Oh man, they started that scene too late. The prior post of that scene is neat. You know Gil Gonzales? No. That's his car you've got your butt parked on. https://youtu.be/1bIHxA8iSjQ?si=H75_2grrcss5rz4M

Just spent right at an hour deleting those effing posts. Fun times indeed.

Hey Jim, Robert, and any other locals, any of you guys going to the Visalia show this year?

So where's the link, and pictures? When i started on my trim, and like a maroon, I thought I'd replace any damaged pieces, and even bought some aftermarket pieces. Then I saw Kelly_H's post on how she repaired hers. I figured if a young GIRL could do it, so could I. Mine were pretty well mangled, but with a little finesse I couldn't tell where the old damage was without looking at the back side. -
AirCleaners, Hood Pins, functional hood scoop upgrades (yes or no)
RPM replied to rwcstang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
My replacement hood pins are stainless. I think the 69s visible hood pin assembly is one of its defining features. -
Heck of nice deal for someone.

Hot damn Vic, that is quite impressive, and top shelf work.
