Had a blast racing at the Glen. There was a Ford GT in our group but he was very slow. There was a 1st Gen Mustang racing there too, not a Shelby. IMG_3304.MOV

I’ll be racing my Corvette Daytona Prototype but there will be lots of Shelbys, GT40s, Mustangs too.

Above 70mph she’s terrifying. Lots of steering wander but she’s a fantastic low speed cruiser.

Seems like the GT350 is leaking from the back of trans but only after it’s lifted up on flatbed. The new power steering is also leaking. So she’s at shop now fixing that & adding LED headlights. Adding new seats soon too.

I only use Bluetooth w a sound bar behind back seat. The original radios are a collectors item so keep that

It’s all about controlling us. I imagine there is a way to remotely shut down all the electric cars at will. ICE cars w less computers are harder to control remotely.

They are modern road MICHELINs & she has BAER brakes on front & fat roll bars, & EIBACH springs. I just took her to do some video. I brought the 2016 Viper ACR E for serious high speed practice.

She got her 1st time on track w me in the funeral procession slow beginner group. These guys do NOT know what they are doing. She ran well, brakes started getting tired after 4 laps and I didnt have lots of fuel. Got some video inside & out so we’ll make a little clip and post it in a few days.

Tomorrow @ Homestead Speedway @ Humestead FL. I want to shoot some video on track since I can’t find anything good on YouTube w a 69 Shelby. Hopefully I get a little dry track time. Going to take it easy. Got the 2016 Viper ACR E along to for serious practice.

Idk re Mustangs but I installed a carbon fiber leaf spring on my 68 Corvette & it rode smoother

She was at the shop. Fixed horn, brakes were pulling left, steering should be better now. Tried to install 2016 Viper seats but they don’t fit so I’ll buy some CORBEAU seats for her in July & reupholster in white leather w grabber blue stitching & SHELBY logo. Need to install an alarm & wire in radar detector cable.

That’s a beauty but I prefer the 69-70

I always preferred the look of the 69-70 Mustangs over the Gen 1 64-68. I fell in love w the Shelby 69 when I was around 10 yrs old and I begged my Dad to buy a red convertible 69 Shelby which of course he didn’t. I had to pay about 1200% more to buy mine recently.

The stock 69 Shelby seat belt is a ridiculous thing attached to the factory roll bar. I added blue racing harnesses. I don’t know if I’ll get these exact ones but modern seats w openings for harnesses would work a lot better in the Shelby. LMK if you have a clue how this top belt works LOL
