I pulled the plugs, and squirted marvel mystery oil in all the cylinders. I let it set a week before I tried spinning it by hand. It wasn't frozen at all, and spun fairly easy.

I just got off the phone  with marti auto works. Tinted glass was an option even on the a/c cars.

When you're  working with all aftermarket  sheetmetal you can figure  on that.

After removing from the dash, there are 3 pins holding the rear ring on. Using a flat chisel, I carefully tapped the rear ring off the pins. On re-assembly I tapped the rear ring back onto the pins, then used a punch to spread the pins back out to make sure they held securely. My 2nd vent actually had the pins replaced with 3 small screws, there were remnants of the pins still. I never knew anyone had my dash apart before.

Well, as luck would have it, my body man found remnants of the factory pin stripes when he re-skinned the passenger door.

I've seen part numbers for stripe kits like that but I've never seen an actual car with them.  When I was trying to get Grande stripes I bought a NOS kit with lines similar (different colors) to that.  I wonder if anyone still has a car with stripes like that showing.

Update: Found the part number not that it matters C9ZZ6520000X White/Gold.  I think the one on your car would have been C9ZZ6520000W

If you want a CD player, you will never keep things retro looking unless you put a cd player in the trunk.  I can do a simple mod to an existing radio to allow it to have an external audio input.  your radio would have a  standard 3.5mm audio  ( headphone style) connector on it.  Then you just click a switch, and the radio becomes an amplifier for whatever you have the audio plugged into.  It could be a Walkman style portable CD player, or a MP3 player.   I have done this for several others in this forum.  Cost is under $100, including AMFM radio, or go it on yours for less.    I can tell you more if you are interested.

I looked for a while and couldn't really find anything "retro" looking that I liked. I ended up buying one of the din radio bezels, you then have many choices. I paid more for the bezel than the radio. I mounted speakers in boxes that sit in front of the trap door, but don't like them there. I have another set of rear interior panels that have speaker holes already, I am going to paint and install them with speakers.

one option for the radio and cd is to look here. i am also a dealer for them and can probably save you a few dollars if you go with their stuff.

Easy way is to run water with a hose  into cowl, on both sides one at a time and watch the water run or drip inside. Your floor board pictures, especially the drivers side looks like cowl leak to me.

The rust holes on the top of the inner fender panels is common on 69/70 Mustangs my 69 Coupe had it in 4 spots I had to patch, & the bottom of the battery tray is from battery acid, also very common which mine had also.

I believe the 600 was a stand alone stripe not found on other mustangs as is the Mach one stripe kit, all other cars came with the GT stripe, a little bit of info here.

Well I believed only GTs had GT stripes...
And no mention of the Sport Appearance Group on this document?
    Some info here: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=16175.0
Apparently the tape stripe found on the 600 was not exclusive to it. Just like the Grande Stripe. At least that’s what Marti tells us.

    You are absolutely right, Aslanefe.
From what I gathered in my readings, this tape stripe was not exclusive to Grandes. Apparently, it could be ordered on other coupes as well as part of the sports appearance group.
I just couldn’t find a pic of a non Grande coupe with said tape stripe.
I also saw a bunch of Grandes without the stripe, or even a vinyl top. Seems like you could virtually order any combination of options on any model, back in the day.
