Do you still have the 2 set of 69 sport mirrors and the 69 GT gas cap for sale?

My car was built in the east. I'm still looking for my vinyl top. Would like to see pic if you have a chance to get it. I was also trying to find out if there was an option code on build sheets. I had a Marti report done years ago but didn't see anything about vinyl top.

You're right when I removed the vinyl top I remember a light over spray coat of the original yellow color over the primer. The paint on the roof under the vinyl was definitely not fully finished like the rest of the car. I could be wrong but I thought the primer was gray. This was in 1977 and the car still had the original paint. I'm hoping to find some photos to confirm this. I know I still have the vinyl top somewhere in a box. Thanks

Thanks for the info. You described the way mine was done. My vinyl roof did appear to be a factory job. Just did not hear much about them over the years.

In case anyone is interested I bought a 1969 Mustang Sportsroof around 1977 with a full vinyl top. It even had factory type metal tabs welded to the body to attach the chrome metal trim. The chrome metal trim was perfectly molded to the body. It looked like it came from the factory that way. I can't imagine a dealer welding those metal tabs to the body of a new car. It was installed exactly like my friends 1970 Galaxy factory vinyl top. The vinyl and trim were the same. Here are some photos. I may even have the vinyl and chrome trim somewhere. Though I'd put it out there to add to the discussion. I'd be interested to know if it could be factory.
