  1. When I first got the press I was having a little fun with my younger son by crushing some little stuff like a water bottle plastic cap, a folded up shoelace and a small screw I think. I asked something about the press on the garage journal site and I posted how my son and i were having some fun with it and big mistake. Those people don't have a sense of humor and were practically throwing stones for saying that... That's not a toy, you can get seriously hurt and so on. Very helpful site but damn...
  2. I'm seeing I need a 164 tooth version. The pioneer fra-205 should work BUT it's not neutral balanced. Crappers
  3. The converter I have now came with my trans and was used with it. It even came with a flexplate but I think it's 28oz so I can't use it since I need a neutral weighted one. Once I find a flexplate I'll try assembling it and check for move like you said. Thank you
  4. My engine is 0 balance so I'll look for one. I just read a post of a guy that ran one that looked fine but the flexplate was too thick or something and it was pushing against the torque converter then ruined his trans.... I need to look into that to make sure I don't do the same
  5. How is this figured out? I'm trying to figure out what flexplate I need but I don't know if I need the 157 or 164. I have a 4r70w for my 351w stroker and it needs to be neutral balanced. I've seen recommendations for a 157 and some for a 164 flexplate.......Thanks guys.
  6. I feel you pain guys, I'm about to turn 38......
  7. Yup, after I decided on normal 10:something compression I ordered the carb. That's the one my friends go to. I see it when I drive home from my job all the time. This village is lacking more e85 stations and charging stations Bob
  8. I don't remember if it was the guys over at Staub or at JGM that told me to stick to 10:1 or 10:5.... whatever I have. I was considering a higher compression but they told me with this it'll be powerful and run off of 91 octane so I won't have to worry about finding a e85 station. There's only 1 in Bakersfield that I know of.
  9. I ordered the floating rear end from Shaun..... I guess i don't need it. I'll list it for sale. @RPM Need one? You always give me crap when I forget to tell you first ha ha ha You probably already have a 40ton by the way your shop looks
  10. This seller on eBay has the ones I have in stock https://www.ebay.com/itm/280641518937?hash=item415789bd59:g:cEcAAOSwKtlWls50 Or are you looking for the 58cc https://www.ebay.com/p/16017008686
  11. I bought a 20 ton from HF for the wheel bearings on my last car and I'm always trying to make space in my garage. Has anyone ever had to use one on these cars? I don't want to sell it then I find out I need it...
  12. I messaged Dakota Digital and told them I couldn't order it on their site and they said the removed the ordering for it because they can't keep up with the demand and supplies. So I called and the guy told me I can order it BUT it had a 4 month wait...... Then he told me summit had 1 in stock. Guess what I bought! I got a few add on's and led tail lights as well. I ordered the Bluetooth fan controller also. I already bought a Ron Francis fan controller but I much prefer this one since it's Bluetooth and I can control it with my phone. Thank you for the advice on this. I look forward to it. I have some questions but I'm not going to try to steal this thread ha ha ha
  13. Bad springs you say? I didn't know that. I'm glad I swaped the springs to the one I got from Chris Staub
  14. Just out of curiosity, why would this keep anyone from getting afr heads? As long as they don't start messing with the designs then they should be fine right?
  15. Hey man did that come with everything you needed to install this kit? Like the sensors and wiring?
  16. I don't have the radiator yet but my pump definitely won't work. I didn't know about that set up though. Thanks for sharing
  17. Yeah, RPM also told me to just go with a mechanical pump. That's why I want to install the eccentric.
  18. I have a electric fuel pump. It's a fuelab brushless pump that's made for carburetor. I think I'll just run that but I still want to install a eccentric to my engine so I can run a mechanical pump if necessary. Is the Ford one the only one available? I don't remember the part number now but it's like $80
  19. Ok, I asked before but i was trying to save wherever I could. I'm not rich but I've sold some stuff and did a few things (LEGAL.....@RPM ha ha ha) Now I just want to finish up my engine because I've spent countless hours researching and now I just want to buy and assemble. So if I can get some suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I need the pulley/serpentine kit and I like this kit. https://www.cvfracing.com/black-ford-289-302-351w-serpentine-conversion-kit-alternator-only/ I'm looking at that kit with the 140 amp alt, passenger side inlet and for my 351w/408w I already have a edelbrock Victor water pump that has a passenger side inlet. I'm considering a crossflow radiator that has the inlet and outlets on the passenger side but also want to use the contour fan set up and I don't know if i can mount those fans to a 19x28 radiator.... it only has 1" tubes but since it's crossflow wouldn't it cool better than a griffin $700+ with 1 ¼ tubes? I still don't know what harmonic balancer to buy. Before I was trying to reuse the original 3 bolt crank pulley but now I don't care since the CVF serpentine kit comes in 3 or 4 bolt. What balancer do you guys suggest? It's a internally balanced rotating assembly. I saw the Ford racing one M-6316-D302 but I like the ATI balancers. I have the oem 69 timing cover but I'll get a different one if I need to....What do you guys recommend? I already have the msd pro billet distributor with vacuum advance or some cra* so a msd 6 box and this coil is what I was looking at https://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-8253 Not sure on what ignition box though Everything has to work together and that's what makes me nervous/confused about choosing things. I'm ready to order this stuff but need the advice from you guys. I'm trying to get this car to do wheelies down my street by the end of this year
  20. Yeah I see what you mean..... I was trying to hurry and order them because of how long I have to wait for the wheels but the 18x9 are in stock. Once I have everything assembled I'll order 1 from summit and see if it fits I'll order the other just like I did with the rear wheels. If it doesn't, I'll take notes and return it. Return shipping is only $25 Thanks Bob
  21. I'd like to run 18x9 wheels up front and I need a 4.75 backspace and I can only find a 5.00" backspace. I don't want to run a spacer....that's my problem. Well that and other personal issues but that's the problem I'm having with this. I currently have two (2) 18x10 torq thrust 2 wheels for the rear and I wanted to run the 18x9 in the same wheel but I only see them with a 5.00 backspace and that will hit my ball joint from what people tell me and I've read. Right now my car has no suspension on it so I can't measure it myself but I can't really argue with people that have experience in this so I have to go by what they say right.... I was hoping to run the fr500 wheel but again, 5.00" backspace So does anyone know of a 18x9 wheel that will fit without spacers? I don't mind ditching the torq thrust 2 wheels and going for a different wheel. The reason I would like to order the wheels now is because I want to have a rolling chassis soon and the 18x8 torq thrust wheels are the option I know that will fit but the wait time on summit racing is sometime in September if I order now. I'm just waiting to clean underneath and clean/paint my wheel wells to install the suspension.
  22. One of the hubs has a small dent on the rear outer area. I think it was from shipping because I received it like that but this comes with a brand new replacement hub. So 3 hubs
  23. I no longer need these. The brackets are made for 1969 "DISC brake spindles " not the usual drum spindles. The paperwork to install these is from street or track and I asked Shaun and he told me these brackets were a very limited run since everyone was buying drum adapters. The rotors have hardly any wear. No groves. It's like just the coating were the pads only was worn down I bought these used a few years back and kept them in the box I received them in. It's everything but the spindles and pads. The end caps and braided lines on the calipers also If your interested I can definitely get you some more pictures. $500 plus shipping is what I'm going to ask I also have the 1969 spindles I can sell
