This is great.  Thanks again.  Far more helpful than the tech line.  I'm going to get that cam regardless, but would be nice if I don't have to dive into more work.
Probably won't get to checking until Tuesday.  I was told it's family time now for the holiday weekend.  Apparently family time starts with a weed eater.

The only time I have seen an over sensitive brake pedal was when something was wrong with the brake booster.  First, is it the correct booster?  1969 was the year Ford switched from Midland to Bendix.  Some early 1969's still got the Midland booster.  They do interchange without any modifications.  From what I understand, the Midland booster provides greater power assist but was unreliable compared to the Bendix booster.
*** Before you condemn the booster, follow Mach1Rider's and Jett 445's suggestion and make certain everything is correct.

Right, when I refer to  “ key on hot”, I mean hot when the ignition switch is in the run position, or on position,  not in the “ACC” position
The anti-backfire solenoid is a great suggestion for a  place to tap that electric choke from
In my case, on one of my cars, I took the under dash energized in the  “run” position wires, and installed a small, 4 fuse, power block, with modern fuses.  I used this to feed my electric choke, audio, and gauges.
I did this because I did not want to hook my electric choke to any existing “glass” fuse feeds, that could cause failure of other important items (lights, etc) if the electric choke drew too mich current for the  existing circuit
All of these cars are fifty years old, with 50-year-old wiring, and 50-year-old fuse blocks and technology
Good luck, keep us posted on your prigress!

The volume of guns in this country hasn't changed a lot over the past 30 years.  Guns are no easier to access then they were in the 80's or 70's.  I grew up with guns in the house.  Had easy access to them.  Never once thought about going to a school and shooting things up.  Wasn't uncommon to see a rifle or shotgun in the back window of dads truck or a dozen others.  What has changed is how children are raised.  What we have is a mental health crisis in our youth.  Blame it on violent video games, lack of parenting, single parents who are doing best they can, divorce, raising kids to be gender neutral, promoting and supporting 10 year old children to change genders, the list goes on.  The existence of an AR15 isn't making these young men decide to go shoot up a school.  You remove the AR15 and they will grab a double stack 9mm with ext mag and still get 18 rnds that is easier to conceal or even worse a 5 minute google search and with way less money then an AR cost and you can make homemade bombs.  The arguing over guns from both sides is pointless.  It will resolve nothing.  And it's nothing more then a power struggle between republicans and democrats.  Neither side care. If they did they would work together on the problem(mental health) and not the symptom(school shootings).
Drunk drivers kill more people then guns taking out suicides.  No one is chanting lets get rid of booze.  Why, too much tax dollars generated from the sale of booze.  Neither side wants to be responsible for losing that much money.

I am PRO gun all the way. However, if I thought for 1 second, banning AR's would end all school shootings I would be all for it.

One other thought is to make sure wherever the ground wires are bolted on be sure to sand & clean the area of contact don't just rely on the bolt threads for a solid ground, then touch it up with some engine bay paint & cover it with dielectric I like using grounding blocks it gives you more connections in the future.
I have a set of 16' Fluke cables that I can reach any point on the car to check continuity from all grounding points. I went through the car making sure I had continuity from neg battery  to every grounding point I could find, I found several with poor connections.
A bit off topic our last boat the PO had connected 12v grounds to the bonding side (120 volt system) & 120 volt grounds to some 12v grounds this led to stray current in the water when plugged into shore power which could have killed someone in the water or me in the bilge if there was water present. It took me several days of sorting out wires to get it correct.
4 AWG wire is plenty for your system here's a good calculator to to determine amp loss of anysize wire.

You need a ground wire to the firewall or some other place on the chassis.  This provides a ground for the rest of the car, e.g. instrument cluster, lamps on the outside of the car, etc.

I really don't get your point I wasn't arguing for either side of gun control or confiscation of guns all I stated is what's happened in this country's society over a long period of time. Just turned on the news there was another road rage murder on I-5 at 1:00 am this morning & an officer involved shooting of someone who ran a stop light. I've been hunting, target shooting & skeet shooting since I was 15 I shot 22's with my grandpa when I was 8 yrs old he died when I was 10. All I stated is how the system failed I have no answers this subject it has grown into another one of those divide the country issues. The US population is 5% of the world with over 35% of the worlds gun related deaths this includes accidental, suicide & murders.
I would like to see some real debate on the subject with some real answers on a problem that seems to have grown into an epidemic.
The opiod drug problem is called an epidemic, it is but who's to blame? The junkie that was prescribed a legal drug pushed by his doctor & pharma companies then cut off left addicted to buy illegal drugs. When small towns with a population of 250 to 3000 people purchase 9 million to 30 million pills who's at fault? ( google that one )
In my opinion our country is in a period of time where it controls it's own destiny we need real answers to real problems not arguments. If it fails to solve the problems we'll be another blip in history that failed. I'm too old to care for me it's my sons & grandson I care about. Hopefully the young folks movement that has started will bring some change just like other movements have this country was founded by a revolution.
Our for profit prison system is another topic too long to discuss.

We have seriously considered moving to either Australia or New Zealand still might, the only thing holding us back is our son & grandson. I've been around guns all my life when I was 15 I had to go through an NRA gun safety & shooting program to get a hunting license at 16. That grew into several years of state sanctioned indoor target shooting, my 2nd year I was ranked 2nd in the state.
I think people in the US have grown numb to shootings & mass killings every night on the local news which we quit watching there is at least 1 killing. They can't be grouped into any one category it goes across all of society mentally ill, family arguments, gang bangers, drunks, idiots,. Dad shoots son or friend by accident the usual statement is the gun was empty I just cleaned it. If you pick up a firearm you better know the 1st rule point it downwards open the breach. Sadly the only requirement to own a rifle or gun is age must be over 21 for handguns over 18 for rifles even AR15 type & a broken background system to check for mental illness, felonies etc that's it no training buy it shoot it.
It has come out the son who killed his parents bought it legally at a local gun shop waited the 7 days for a background check which he past with 1 felony assault & multiple mental health evaluations under the care of a psycho doctor taking some strong meds. His brother warned the dad that he was mad and on the way over there & called 911 sheriff they arrived to late.
I have purchased & traded several firearms at the same shop I know the owner fairly well. I was looking at a new skeet rifle when someone came into pick up a pistol on the 8th day of the waiting period. He looked in the database told the guy the City of Buckley hadn't responded to the background check then handed him the gun. He told me it happens over 50% of the time, if the purchasers city of residence doesn't respond you get a gun doesn't matter if your wanted for murder.

And all this time I thought you were in WA (Western Australia).
Very sad news. We do get a few shootings over here but mostly bikers and organised crime. It's very rare for a domestic shooting and there are almost no accidental shootings.
I am a gun owner and have to comply with some very strict rules. A firearms safety course first and safe storage and transportation rules. There is a zero tolerance policy with even a minor breach facing a gaol (jail) sentence. It takes away spur of the moment decisions. I can't remember the last shooting that involved a licenced gun owner.
I was initially against our laws but now they have been in force for 20- odd years I am all for them. There are some silly parts to the laws but on the whole they work well.

I've tried several coils MSD Blaster II, FOMOCO & Acell HiPo 45,000 volt right now I have the Acell in there now.
I would go with the Blaster II.
I have similar rails by Ford Racing for spark plug wire routing in the pic above by barnet best rails I've ever had keeps them separated but best of all you never need to search where each wire is going they are in order from bottom to top where they exit 1= #1 cyl, 2= #2 cyl etc.
I can change a dizzy cap in 5 mins without chasing any wires. If you make your own wires they can be cut to the exact length for a clean looking setup without any chance of spark jump.

the anti vibration coil is good for street apps, but if you wanted to spend more money and/or have a different look, you can use the other styles. if you use a long coil wire, you can mount the coil on the firewall if you wanted.
i sometimes use aluminum cable guides also for a more custom look.

This is a story of you can't see the forest for the trees.
When the transmission acted so terribly I was SURE i'd messed something up internally when installing the shift kit even though I thought I was being very careful during the process. But there were a lot of little parts and springs to keep up with and you never know.
Well, after trying to adjust the vacuum modulator multiple directions but with no good results I decided to call Trans-go and get their input. The gentleman was very helpful but pretty technical about what I should do/check so I was a bit overwhelmed and also lacked some of the tools he said I'd need. I told him I'd get the tools and give it a shot. Then as we're saying our goodbye's he throw's "oh, you might want to check that your kickdown linkage isn't binding or putting pressure on the kickdown lever."
Well I figure that's a small thing I can certainly do immediately so I put the car on the lift and sure a day it definitely 'seemed' to be exerting pressure. I disconnected it and went for a drive. I had a brand new gearbox! I can't tell you how relieved I was.
So it turns out that one of the many, many things I did while I had access to the friend's shop was remove the 1/2" carb spacer that the previous owner had installed. Hated how it made my shaker hood scoop stick out. In doing so I basically dropped the kickdown lever 1/2" and that was enough to bind the kickdown lever.
Thank goodness it was a small thing and thanks to all of you for your suggestions.

I plan on finding something to replace the existing O.E. "black paint over rust" swap meet jack that I currently have with something new that meets current scissor jack specs.   Many modern / generic scissor jacks that I have looked at are too big to store under the spare ... and to me that is a requirement.   In the 37 years I've owned this car, I've never had to change a flat but just want to have all the equipment there.   A scissor jack works fine, but you must:
Use only on a hard level surface
Put Parking Brake On & chock at least one other wheel if flat is on back
Break all the lug nuts loose to snug-tight BEFORE jacking the car up
Jack up just high enough to swap the tire
Snug-Tight Lug Nuts only before lowering down,  then torque tight once back on the ground
If you can't do it on a hard level surface, call for a flat bed
Most recent flat I changed was on my 1998 Mustang (about 18 years ago) using the O.E. Scissor Jack and Temp Spare ... had zero problems nor any safety concern as I did it per above.

Not maintaining a battery is the biggest killer of cranking type batteries the way they're designed if you crank on it till it;s under 50% of a full charge it will shorten the lifespan dramatically. If it's a lead acid not keeping them topped off and using a dumb charger will do the same by boiling it dry. I've had 7-8 year old lead acid batteries check out like new the one in my John Deere is a 9 year old Interstate. I like AGM's just for the fact there's no upkeep to them, really doesn't matter what brand as long as it's made in the US. There's an Optima plant 20 miles from here they manufacture batteries for quite a few brands.

I did mine last year it can be a pain, the PO had done a mickey mouse job filling it with several kinds of silicone & grinding out the original factory glue which tapered the brackets. I had to shim them to get them in the correct position by trial and error.
    1)  I wouldn't buy new regulators unless they're bent, just mushroom the pivot head as shown in the video
    2) Doubt you need new guides it should only need new guide inserts ( buy a couple extras )
    https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/69wguide.html?attribs=88
    3) I'd only use the 3M Bonding Adhesive. In the video he uses a caulking gun with a bolt held on by a C clamp i wasted a tube when one of the bolts popped loose instead get a couple pieces of 1/2" PVC tubing to fit the tube or buy the 3M Gun.

    4) Check the window runs the welds tend to brake if there's any rust inside the door. If not don't waste the money in repops.
    5) I sprayed the inside of both doors with a rust inhibitor. I didn't have any rust inside just a precaution.
    6) Lined the inside of door with pieces dynamat.
    7) Get a new set of Vapor Barriers & Belt lines. Shop around the prices are all over the place.
That's all I can think of. Sure someone else has some more tips

You place the pvc pipe on the vertical adjusting bars that the U shaped brackets slide up and down. By slicing down one side of the pipe you can push it over the vertical bars and it fits snug . It’s a bit of trial and error to get the pipe to the height you want.

Another reason these brackets can come off is due to the fact that when you wind the window down it bottoms out on the rubber stop . If you overwind going down it puts pressure on the brackets.
I cut some 15mm pvc pipe and cut it down the length  . I put this on both front and rear bars so when you wind the window down the brackets hit the top of the pipe instead of centre of the window hitting the rubber stop. This also helps with the felts at the end of the door not getting hooked up all the time.
