  6. New NOS Trim over roof installed today & new clips worked so no longer require installing info any more ,I will post photos of it on my Project Progress fo, but I still need to know how the vinyl is cut at the drip rail.if it goes down outside of drip rail & drip rail trim covers it or is it cut at top of drip rail. Anyone who has installed any vinyl roof may know the answer. Thanks to all.Cheers Phil

These are the parts that I have some are for the right hand side mirror as well.Still looking for WTB 69-70 Mustang L/H Sport Bullet Mirror parts , looking for remote cable, screws ,or complete mirror with damaged housing that could be stripped for parts.Has to have control Knob holder at 90 degrees to cables.Cheers Phil
  8. The right hand conversion had been done professionally for the previous owner and looks good, the car had been complianced & regestered in Queensland Australia.Cheers Phil
  9. Max Power I've put photos of my car on the Project Progress Forum. Thanks for your Photo.I also need to find out if the Vinyl top goes down the outside of the drip rail as seen on my photo in Project Progress Forum & the drip rail chrome trim goes over it ,or is the vinyl cut on the inside of the drip rail & the drip rail chrome trim goes on top of the drip rail metal .Cheers Phil
  10. On & off about eight months,it was purchased in pieces disassembled & I have purchased a lot of parts from CJ Pony, NPD , Mustangs Bulimba Brisbane AUS ,Ebay & Gumtree, that are still to go on. I'm trying to keep it as close as I can to original even though it had been converted to Right Hand drive & as a drive car. I'm 61 years old & always wanted to own a Mustang since my teens. I've had this car in storage (garaged) for 2 years. This 69 Stang site is amazing & the information & time that it's members devote is priceless. Thanks to all.Cheers Phil
  11. Max power I wouldn't want you to remove your trim,I thought someone might know if they had done one or new someone they could ask.For your info I have the part number for the plastic clips that hold the trim on I got 20 to keep some as spares, they are available at info@dennis-carpenter.com Cost for part number C7SZ-6540248-B, plastic molding clip, is $1.50 each. Shipping a quantity of 20 within the US is $9.99. I had so much trouble finding clips in Australia & US having bought 3 different sets none of which fitted properly. The last set while trying to fit the clips to the trim I damaged the edge of the trim .I managed to purchased off Ebay a set of new NOS trims which cost me $200.00 US & the seller managed to track down the part number on the clips for me & supplied them with the trim.I will attempt to repair my original trims & keep them as I know how difficult they are to find. The 2 cast ends are held on by an acorn nut inside & a self tapping screw on the outside. If you ever want to remove your trim be careful not to force the trim off as I have photos of a car with the rivets (Studs) ripped off leaving holes in the roof. Cheers Phil
  12. Any videos as yet Mike on your posting 11 July 2012 would be extremely helpfull.
  13. I need to find out if the pins just poke thru the vinyl & the trim clip that clips on to the pin sits on top of the vinyl ,or is the vinyl cut away from the pin so the trim clip would then sit on the metal of the roof.A picture or photo of how the vinyl sits at one of the roof pins is all that I need.Thanking you Phil
  14. I am trying to get 2 of the plastic lugs (as seen in the attached Photos) that fit in the aluminium bottom lower sections of the rear window molding trim & holds the window molding trim to the lower trim clips would anyone have any. No longer required I found a supplier, purchased 3 of them from Mustangs Etc. Van Nuys, CA.They were very helpful & prompt shipping to Australia.Highly recommend.Cheers Phil
  15. Still desperate on getting this info can anyone recommend who I might try. Thanking you Phil
  16. With the white vinegar you have to scrub parts with a nylon brush under running water then place in a solution of water & bi-carbonated soda (couple of table spoons) to neutralize any vinegar then rinse again with water & dry off.For parts not being painted after final rinse I sprayed with WD40.
  17. If someone has a damaged not repairable lower section of rear window trim (molding) as in the photo ,I would buy all the plastic lug clips off it.Cheers Phil
  18. I still require info on the fitting of a 2/3 Landau Vinyl roof top showing how the vinyl is cut near the across the roof pins (rivets). There seams to be very few 1970 Grande Coupe with this type of Vinyl roof that have been restored. If someone has a photo of just the vinyl regardless of condition near one of the roof top rivets (with roof top trim missing) this would do.Cheers Phil
  19. Mine did have the short 2/3 top, studs still in position on roof but I am having trouble finding how the vinyl top was fixed around the roof studs & roof top mouldings.
  20. I have left badly rusted parts completely submerged in White Vinegar for 5 days,& parts to big to submerge I used rags soaked with White Vinegar placed over the rusted areas.
