I also bought the Mustang Project LED Light Kit but in the new Aqua color.

I installed them a couple of months ago but I left all the original diffusers in place. I also did the high beam and turn signal lights. They made a huge improvement. I can now read my gauges without my glasses. They're not so bright that the are obviously aftermarket but they're just bright enough that they probably look like they did they day the car was purchased. They are also dimmable.
For some reason I forgot to take pictures and unfortunately the car is out of pocket at the moment. Once I get back to it I'll take a couple and post them up.
Overall, I highly recommend spending the $50.00

Oh lord! Y'all have real shops. I do a lot of work in my garage but it's more gentrified and pristine. When the going gets tougher, like pulling an engine or transmission, I head to my friends shop that has 3 of everything.

Welp, it shouldn't be too hard to find. Look behind the lower dash to the left of the steering column. It goes thru the firewall as shown in my pic.

If it's been pulled thru the firewall look in the engine bay below the master cylinder.

It's quite obviously out of square and it's going to bother you for as long as you have it. Return it for a correct one now while all the seats are out. It will slow you down but you'll never be bothered again.

I finally was able to drive mine 20 miles yesterday, love it. I was able to use my stock Ford pump (a Cardone unit I've had a couple years). I didn't wander on the highway like my stock setup did. I turns fine stopped and at idle and low speed.

Not directly Mustang related but it stores a mustang so there's that.
I've been wanting to have a nice finished garage ever since we built out house 15 years ago so I finally got off my duff and did it. All new paint top to bottom, new cabinets, big screen TV, and professionally done floors. Couldn't be happier with the results.
Now I make my wife take her shoes off when she come in it from the house
Mustang related I've installed an electric trunk release, retrosound stereo, chased squeaks and rattles, had the exhaust reworked.... Been a product season for me.

The lift is an Advantage Lift. I think the quality is very good. Lifts can really vary from the bottom to top tier. I consider this a higher middle tier.

Sure enough, previous owner hadn't got both sides clipped into the upper 'hooks'. One side was just flapping around with the loop clacking against the hook. Disassembled and reassembled and now it's has tight as a tick. Thanks.
So now it's on to the next rattle.....

Before I talk to these guys again today can someone answer whether you can physically remove the transmission from the car without unbolting the torque converter?

It seems that if space wasn't an issue you could pull the transmission and bell housing straight back far enough to clear the input shaft of the transmission from the converter and drop the gearbox BUT is practical terms I believe the bell housing would hit the transmission hump well before you'd be able to clear the units? Am I right?

Thank you. This is very useful.
Off the top of your head, do you know if you can see enough of the end of the axle just by removing the wheel and brake drum? Or is the drum brake backing plate blocking everything?

What has been their online reputation? Have you looked at their BBB listing?

There's no way they shouldn't have contact you to let you know that the written estimate they provided was being so grossly exceeded and give you an explanation as to why. As a professional shop they should be able to estimate their work far closer to the actual hours than what they did. It seems like a bait and switch job to me.

copb8 reacted to Vicfreg in Flow Through Ventilation
Recent discussion on another thread was about putting speakers in kick panels, where the air vents are.   There are differences between the '69 and '70 models worth noting, if you are going to modify your kick panel vents.
So, you ask why is there a little vent in the door lock pillar on the 1970's, but not on the 1969's...?    For the Mustangs, several things happened....the first was that the vent windows previously used on the 1966-1968 Mustangs were eliminated.   Second, on the fastbacks, there are no air extractors.    So, with the windows rolled up in the 1969's...not much air moving around.  So, if you were smoking say a pipe.....the passenger compartment would look like the "Up in Smoke" movie scene in no time...
Ford engineers to the rescue....they invent "Direct Aire"
This is a flow through ventilation system.   It uses the cowl vents, and a space under the rear seat to allow air to flow into the car, under the seat, through the trunk, and out the one way door lock pillar vents....     Huh?  Really?
See page 6 of the attached document.  (GM had already figured this out and offered the same kind of thing in the Camaro's)
So, if you eliminate your kick panel vents in your Mustang, you may have a little less air movement in the car.  Unless you have factory A/C, then that handles the issue nicely.

I attended Good Guys this weekend, albeit only on Sunday because I got rained out on Saturday. It was a good time even with so few cars compared to Saturdays. At least the lines and crowds were down. Even did a few parade laps on the track.

When I got back to my car I actually ended up getting the 'Mighty Mustang' award for the show. I guess the judges troll around the cars looking for candidates. No big award or anything but I got a plaque and did a drive by in front of the little stage. Fun twist.

Pic of the parade laps. I've driven this track in true high-speed events a few times but never been on it with the Mustang. It was still fun for me but my friend, who was in the car with me, had never put a foot on any kind of track was over the moon. Watching him was more fun than the drive itself . Funny thing was I offered to let him drive and he declined saying he'd never been in a race before! LOL!
