  1. I drove my car in the country a few nights ago and my stock headlights were terrible. I'm considering purchasing these LED bulbs from CJP http://www.cjponyparts.com/redline-lumtronix-headlight-halogen-led-halo-single-color-pair-1965-1968-1970-1973/p/BULBH4LED1/ Does anyone have any experience with these, or have an alternative to suggest? I'd prefer not to have the halo type lights and I'd like the car to appear stock. Thank you
  2. Blue69M1, great information about the cowl. I probably need to clean down there anyway so it'll come in handy regardless of the AC issue. Thanks for the pic. Angel, are you saying that it may just be taking the air from the passenger footwell. Need to make sure any passengers have their odor eaters in then. :-)
  3. Would you think I'd need to pull the entire unit out to access that intake?
  4. I have the Vintage Air Daily Driver unit under my dash. It worked fine several times but now the fan/blower is making a buzzing noise like something is rubbing the blades, maybe something got sucked up in it. Do any of you know if the fan is accessible in that unit? Where does the fresh air enter the system, from the footwell? Any and all advise appreciated. TIA
  5. I plan on driving it semi-regularly and keeping it 'fairly' stock, not that it's 100% now anyway. It has a light cam, intake, exhaust and carb upgrade already.
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm really looking forward being part of this community and enjoying the car.
  7. Thank you. We had a Halloween party at our house on Saturday night and it got rave reviews form the girls and guys alike. I noticed when I stop somewhere in it every one has a story to tell about the ole days. Pretty cool.
  8. Hello All, My name is Bart and I'm from Highland Village, a suburb of Dallas. I'm the proud new owner of a 1970 Grabber Orange Mach 1 351C 4V 3-speed FMX auto. Ever since riding in one when I was 14 in South Africa I was in love with that car. Back there an american muscle car was rarer than a Ferrari. Last month I fell in love all over again while scoping out the cars out at Barrett Jackson in Vegas. I just kept coming back to this car. I'd registered as a bidder but didn't have too much intention of pulling the trigger unless there was something I just had to have. Apparently this was it. After the bidding was done it was mine and it showed up to my house 4 days later (amazing). It had a restoration about 10+ years ago and has been sitting in a guys collection for most of the time since then. Has 4480 miles on it since it was done (allegedly but somewhat documented). It's a PS, PB front disc car with a shaker hood. Showing some signs of age and few blemishes but it is a very nice driver, which is what I intend to do with it. This is my first foray into classic cars and I'm having to do some things to it to get it right. Working on a 46 year old car is a lot different than working on a modern one, that's for sure. I'm a very intermediate DIY'er so nothing like many of you but I'm looking forward to tinkering with it. I joined this forum a few weeks ago and have been lurking since then. Now I look forward to following posting and learning more about this awesome car. Bart
