Here is a couple of pics of the garage mate 70 R/T Dodge Charger 440 4 speed , i am the 4th owner and 94,568 miles. I restored the car about 3 years ago but i have owned the car for about 10 years. 631/2 Galaxy fastback next.

Engine is in and hooked up , going to start it up tomorrow.

Car will be running on Saturday and off to a show on Sunday, fingers crossed no gremlins.
-
Keen to see the pics, wife absolutely loves this car and she don't muck around when other cars try to blow her off at the lights.

Vicfreg , you are absolutely 100% correct . life is good in the garage at the moment. On vinyl , Neil Young, CSN and Young, Eagles, Led ZEP , Creedence and a heap of Blues guitarist's and the volume is loud. Also Stevie Ray Vaughn. The engine is back in it's home , just hooking everything up.

Would like to do that upgrade later down the track, my lead foot wife has enough power under the pedal at the moment.

It's a front grille support.

Well got my Remflex gaskets yesterday , so here we go again, got a new bottle of JD for spiritual guidance
-
WOW!!!!, that's major surgery.
-
Nice parts there, and yes they are pricey to get down here.

No sealer on the pump mounting bolts, changed the pump quad ring and converter oil seal and put a new bush in the pump housing. Also had the converter pressure checked , all good. Get my new Remflex header gaskets on Tuesday so i will start putting the engine and trans in during the week at night so i can drive it next weekend. Got to psych myself up to do the job, uncle Jack Daniels is always there to help me.

nice lot of parts Mal, the Charger guys will repair that car and ask crazy money for it.

Happy birthday Mal.

Man , that's a real project but we are all suckers for punishment when it comes to these cars.

Typical my luck, the leak was coming through the pump mounting bolts. Trans is in good condition with no issues . Replaced front seal and quad ring ,bolt seal o rings and got the converter checked and i put a new front pump bush in ' Want to have it running again in 3 weeks , fingers crossed.

Pick it up next week. New toy for the missus, we only get autos in convertibles down here. Not a bad grocery getter!!!

I wish Mal, parts arrive next week. A couple of weeks and she will be a go.

Well, after driving the car for a little while i have a converter oil seal leak. Only way to fix this is to remove the trans and change the oil seal , pump housing quad ring seal and the gasket . I have hooker super comps on so out comes the engine and trans complete, including the hookers after spending a few hours unhooking everything out she comes. Had it out in 45 minutes sitting on the floor with the help of my 15 yo daughter but i can tell you i am over it. Going to check the valve stem oils seals also and a new inlet manifold gasket.

Real nice work there.

Thanks , i will check the square ring for size , i get wary of the seal kits as i don't know where they are made.
