  1. My Marti Reports states Y5 which is IFR and 63C Black interior.
  2. Yes they are the 56" ramps and do very well staying put. I bought them for the 2013 Boss 302, but use them on the 69 as they feel safer then the jack stands.
  3. Hey atleast your have two blues! The Boss 302 is an awesome beast, but I like staring at and working on the 69 mush more!
  4. Correct, the gold color is not original as it is an Indian Fire Red car, and I have NO idea what this specific gold color came from or why someone had changed it. Most likely, it will go back to Indian Fire Red though.
  5. I believe the harness plugs are the same between the two years, but the base that attaches to the transmission is different. Anyone out there have a 69 stang with 70 c6 transmission? Which one do you have?
  6. Hello Everyone, I have a 69 Mach 1 that currently has a 70 c6 transmission. The car does not have a neutral safety switch installed and the wiring at the firewall is crossed to let the engine start. okay, yes, but I can start the engine in any gear...so not good! And also have no back up lights. Therefore I would like to install the neutral safety switch. So know I need to decide with one to purchase. As you can see from the table and picture, the 69 and 70 are different, where the 70 has taller standoffs to clear the locking column lever. But my 69 does not have a locking column. Does this mean I should use the 68-69 part? If so this would be great since companies like Scott Drake are making them, but no one makes the 70 part, which mean NOS and big money. C7ZZ-B C6 '68-'69 Transmission One Quad Plug D0ZZ-B C6 '70-'72 before 12/1/71 Transmission One Quad Plug with taller standoffs to clear locking column lever.
  7. My 69 is an early year production car. It came with a Windsor, but has a 70 Cleveland now. Seems like the opinions are mixed between swap to the original Windsor and build the existing Cleveland.
  8. Hello Everyone - this question probably comes up often, but I am having a hard time deciding. I have a 69 mach 1 "M" code car that no longer has its original 351w with FMX in it. It currently has a 70 351c with c6 in it (completely stock). I am wondering if I should go back to the 351w or rebuild the 351c. Since it will not have the original engine either way, it probably does not matter. I would like to run around 400 to 450 hp and not looking to keep it completely stock, but not to radical. I read that parts are easier to find for the windsor than for the cleveland, and assume either way I go the cost will be about the same. I will probably get the transmission rebuilt as the c6 is not too bad. Any and all advice is welcome. Also any ideas on good engine re-builders in north Alabama?
  9. stangman68 - I sent you an email...did you get it?
  10. Thank you for the warm welcome RPM! I am not knew to mustangs...as I have owner plenty over the years. A 68, two 69s Mach 1s, some 90s models, and a 2013 Boss 302. Now on my 69 Mach 1, I am restoring everything in the from steering wheel to the firewall, and this is my last part that I am missing. This switch is located in the glove box opening under the left bumper and it will turn on the map light that is located in the clock bezel. This lights up the glove box contents when opened. West Coast Classic Cougar currently does not have any, and was wondering if anyone had any laying around. BTW here are some pictures of the progress. Some may not like the carbon fiber wrap, but it doesn't hurt and I can remove it without hurting the wood grain. We will see over time if I leave it. The prior owner had replaced all the mach 1 interior that was worn out with some 70 standard interior....crazy I know, but I am now taking it back to what it should be.
  11. I am looking for a glove box light switch for my Mach 1. It works with the map light that is in the clock bezel and turns the light on when the glove box is opened. It is the switch that protrudes through the glove box opening on the left side under the rubber bumper. Anyone have one or have a good idea to make one?
