ceciletf18 reacted to 69mach1build in Difference between manual and power brake pedal suport?
I know that the pedals are different between manual and power brake applications. but what about the brake pedal support? I have a power car but want to switch to manual. Can I plug and play the manual pedal into it?

ceciletf18 reacted to Print Dad in Two part question
Hello All,
Once again I turn to the Pro's for some help.
I have a 2 part question - I am trying to help a buddy
with his 70 Fastback - - 351C - 4 speed - power steering.
I realize this is not a total tech question but this does kinda deal with
tech issues
The car needs a lot of work but it is a long term project.
Tonight we were looking at the "clutch release lever or fork" and it has
been welded a bit by a previous owner.
So question #1 - does anyone know the part number for this original part
This leads to my second question which is kinda stupid I guess as I have had our 70 Mach for about 40 years,
Question 2 - - Although I consider the 351C a small block and I am pretty certain that is how Ford categorizes it - -there is always some confusion when buying parts.
for example - on e-bay - there are about 4 "forks" that say they are for a Boss 302 or big block motors.
This leads me to some confusion - -will the fork from a big block fit my friends 351C - -2 barrel heads if that matters although I don't think it would.
So I need to know what you guys think. I have had the same issue with simple things like chrome alternator brackets - -they say "small block" and mention the common 302, 289 -351W etc - -but I get confused
So although Ford may consider the 351C a small block - what do the parts repo people consider our motors
I know this is a silly question but need advice and opinions from some of the members here
as always - -Thanks in advance - Print Dad - -(Sam)

ceciletf18 reacted to 69volunteer in Original Dealer Invoice
Has anyone ordered this from Marti? I randomly was on their website a few weeks ago and they are now selling original dealer invoices--you have to provide documentation that you own the car.
I got mine over the weekend and since my car was bought new by my Aunt, no surprise on dealer location. It appears that it was originally slated for a dealership closer to my Aunt's house but was sold to another dealer a little further away (she bought it off the lot).
It appears to have a stamp from where it was 'checked out of the factory at the gate'. The actual dealer cost of the car and options some other stuff....pretty interesting.
Has anyone else gotten one of these and know what some of the codes, etc stand for?

ceciletf18 reacted to machm1970 in Fuel gauge problems
The gas gauge quit working in my '70. I grounded the wire to the sender for a quick second and the gauge went to the full side so I assumed the gauge was working properly and the sender was bad. I installed a new sender from Mustangs Unlimited this morning and I'm still having issues. The needle looks like it moves just a little off empty, I put 7 gallons back in, so I should be Above 1/4. I used an ohm meter on the old sending unit and got .01 on the full side and .08 on the empty side. The new one in the car reads .06 ohms which would probably be right for 1/4 full. The other gauges work fine, any ideas?
