Mach1 Driver reacted to larryc94 in Distinctive Industries Trunk Mat Set
I used part # TMC-90F-51 which was the correct application for my car. The kit is made for fold down or non fold down. You have to trim to fit for which you have.
With left over pieces was able to fill over the wheel houses using spray glue
The trunk looks so much better. finished off

Mach1 Driver reacted to Mike65 in How to Apply Mastercoat in tight areas?
I used the Master Series Silver as a primer on the inside & outside of the engine compartment inner fender panels & then top coated it with their chassis black. I also coated the interior side of the firewall & floors, & then applied sound deadner material on top of it.

Mach1 Driver got a reaction from RPM in Brown lights
Correct, you need to plan this out to do it right. It would be a good time to add a mega* fuse and a fuse link. I would suggest a 3G Ford style alternator (not PA Performance) of around 100A, unless you will be adding a big stereo and power windows. The thing with the ammeter is that it has to be disconnected, but you could have it converted to a functioning voltmeter and no one would ever know. The secret here is that it already is a type of voltmeter, but not what you need.
*haha, the first time I actually spelled that maga (Make America Great Again), not mega.

Easy preliminary check it to unplug your fans and see if anything changes.
Relays are always a good idea, even on a bone stock car, but they won't make up for an undersized alternator.

Mach1 Driver reacted to prayers1 in Need advise finding a direct fit Aluminum Radiator
Finally got the last of the mail order parts and finished the project today.
With much debate, I put in a 180 t stat and 195/175 fan switch. With the other choices I felt the fan would never turn off.
final result - works great ! Fans turn on and off!!

Mach1 Driver reacted to danno in Scorching hot alternator pulley
OK, let's step back for a moment from the belt issue. The issue could be electrical with the alternator or elsewhere. Just because you have a 100 amp alternator, it does NOT mean the alternator is putting out 100 amps when the car is running. It puts out the amount of amps needed to keep the car running. It could be 10 amps. I see that you do not have electric fans, and no A/C, so what is taking all the amps? The truth is, maybe nothing is taking all those amps, and the alternator is really not working that hard. Maybe something is taking all the amps that should not be?
What are your special items in the car that consume all the amps? Halogen lights can, turn them off. The A/C can, but you do not have it. A sound system can, so turn it off. You need to find out if your car is consuming a lot of power, and where is it going? I think you have an electrical problem, espicially when you see the voltage drop when the car is running. Something is fishy.
You need to go about some electrical tests, we can help with that.

If I were you, I'd go to great lengths to get the V belts to work. I didn't even think to try a double V belt when my single belt kept slipping with a ~100 amp alternator. I even used a turnbuckle to tighten the belt. Even though I dislike the serpentine belt look, it does work.
My need to use the 100 amp alt was a classic rabbit hole affair, which I don't recommend. Since I just had to have a shaker air cleaner, tIhen found it sat too high thru the hood. Shoulda milled the Stealth intake, but lowered the motor. Which required custom motor mounts, engine crossmember, electric fans since stock interfered with lower radiator hose, custom tranny mounts to keep angle correct.
All for a damn shaker. With dual fans, power windows, and stereo, I went big on the alternator.
In hindsight, I'd keep it stock. Much more simple, and stock works just fine.

Mach1 Driver reacted to BackWhen in What did you do to/for your Mustang today?
Took the plunge on Dakota Digital RTX. No regrets.
The water temp sender, with adapter bushing, is a bit too close to the 351C alternator top bracket. The wire connector can't plug on to it. Maybe D/D has a right-angle connector version of their harness. Solution for now is to trim away much of the strain relief that is molded on to the connector. All good.

Sure China Joe & Kamaltoe are horrible BUT Bloomberg says Trump will win election and Joe & Kamaltoe will win the Cheat by mail a few days later. I have no doubt the Dems will try like hell to steal it as usual. God bless USA & Trump.

Mach1 Driver reacted to Caseyrhe in Life’s Challenges
Prayers have been answered and we got some great news today. Stage one, cell doesn’t appear to have any blood vessels through it, and lymph nodes looked normal.
Next is choose between a lumpectomy with centralized radiation or a mastectomy. Lymph nodes would be removed during either procedure and then more thoroughly checked.
Dr was so awesome and took the time to explain what we are dealing with, what happens next, options on how to proceed, genetic test available to help with that decision as well as benefit Erin, and then preventive measures to help insure another cell doesn’t pop up.
Sue was so relieved as I and we can now focus on what it actually is, in lieu of the unknown. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Mach1 Driver reacted to det0326 in Drive Line angle question
need to find the degree of transmission tail shaft (should be pointed down about 4 degrees or so. Then the yoke on rear end should be pointed up minus 1 degree. Example trans down 5 degree the rear end yoke should be pointed up 4 degrees.

Always has for me; there is a water valve to turn off (reduce) flow through the heater core when it is off.

Terry, my factory AC cars have water valve on heater hose, non-AC cars do not and coolant always circulate through heater core.

I heard some knuckle head lib commentator the other day say that this duo was the "dream team".....OMGOSH!!! The sum total IQ of the two isn't 100. Old Joe has lost whatever mental faculties he ever had and Kamalalalala changes her tune daily, such that she doesn't know what she stands for.

Did you know that when 2 out of 4 water pump pulleys bolts fall out and the other two are loose it sounds like a rod knock :-)
I almost crapped myself on the way to a car show, luckily i looked at the pulley and saw them missing. easy fix to the hardware store.
