I will be doing one at a time so i may be able to make two a week ,possibly three ,it all depends on how much work i have going on at the time .If ...it looks like they are going over good i will make another set of molds .It is just me doing the work so i will not be able to put out a lot all at once .

I gel coated my trap door molds this morning along with my hood under brace mold .I will make one today .i was looking at the top part of the mold ,it has a perfect grain finish with no dents from a dented original because the original was perfect .i will have it assembled in the next couple of days .

The under brace is gel coated .My battery in the camera is dead ...Did you know you had to charge those things ? what is the world coming to ?LOL. It should be ready to start laying it up about noon .

Photo bucket is being its typical pain in the butt but i got the under brace waxed and the rest of the hood is masked off .It is ready to go ,if the masking tape will stay on over night .

Yeah ,i got the under brace sanded with 400 wet sand ,it is slick . I will be waxing it tonight and i have a lot of masking to do so gel coat and resin doesn't get all over the thing .I will be starting on the mold first thing in the morning .

That is funny ,my gulf stream aqua 69 has been parked since 1984 as well .It was in the garage until about a year ago when i had to move it into a car port. Nice looking car Machspeed .

The one i have the molds for is the stock type door .I made the mold from a perfect original ,no dents and perfect original grain ,and it will never dent .I am not sure if i have any pics of the one i made for my sisters car .I probably lost them in the great computer crash of 2012 .

This is the one i have and prefer ,once it is seated and tightened i think it is the safest . I actually made mine from a heavy duty screw jack

Could be ,i think it was priced somewhere around there . How is the end of the quarters where the end caps bolt ? is the top of the rear quarters and the back of the roof line good enough to make the sail panels ? I have a Shelby trunk lid already ,i would have to get the end caps and then modify it all to look like the Mexican Shelby pieces .

Yep that is what it be ,but it looks like the nut is missing that attaches it at the choke .

I agree an internal spring compressor is the safest ,it is only one screw through the middle to compress and release the spring .You go through the hole in the top of the tower for the shocks .Any spring compressor can fail so be very careful and make sure it is hooked completely before you tighten the compressor .

I will have to make one ,box it ,then weigh it .I don't have a clue what shipping will be ,i think they go by weight and size of the package .I plan on using the foam that covers water pipe ,it is split down the side and will slip over the edges of the hood to protect it when shipped .Those truckers can be pretty rough with packages . I finished sanding the bottom of the hood and primed the the under brace .I will wet sand it next and wax it and it will be ready to make the under brace mold .It will probably be Tuesday .It should be ready to use the end of the week . Now i have to buy more materials ,the under brace mold will take all i have left .These molds will cost me around $3,000 by the time i am done ,but i have the long hood and the short hood now . I need to find a 69 coupe body to make the trunk lid and end caps ,and i want to make the sail panels as well . I saw one on Craigs list in Bakers field ,looked rough though .All it needs is the quarters good at the ends and a good trunk opening to fit the trunk lid .

Hate to but in but i have a trap door mold for a fiberglass 67-70 .It is double sided and looks just like the original when finished .I made it several years ago for my sisters 70 because i didn't want to cut the original steel one .It doesn't have speaker pods but if you need to cut a door for speakers one of these would beat cutting up a steel one .

Ok , driving by the Ford garage i spotted a large box big enough for a hood .I stopped and they gave it to me ,he had just torn up two more .He said they get a lot of hood boxes and he would save them for me so we have boxes . I talked to the guy that delivered my fiberglass materials and they will ship for me . Believe it or not the box is a mopar box for a Rumble Bee truck,only fitting don't you think LOL. Also each and every one of yous is gona get a box of bees ,shaken up and sent freight collect... hahaha.

Now i can get to my shop again . I have a bit of finish up work to do that will take me at least the week end and i will be able to start on the hood again.

Vent away my friend, vent away .It is time we all stood up for what is ours . We pay these premiums to cover our pride and joys ,and they had better honor what we have paid our hard earned money for .

Woo Hoo ! Persisstent bitchn and moanin has paid off once again ...The bees are being loaded this very moment !! I hope they get stung hehehe.

my sisters 68 Camaro was hit worse than that ,square in the rear .It pushed the quarters in about 1 foot .the insurance company paid off and she bought it back. She then put it up for sale . A guy that owned a body shop bought it and put it on his frame puller and pulled the quarters back .i could not believe it ,the wrinkles almost came out of the quarters and only needed a bit of body work .As far as i know this guy still drives it . I have a feeling this is what is going on with your car because it is much less damaged than my sisters car .Some one is looking for a fast buck.

For the last three years they have put them next door .For three months out of the year we cant hardly do anything on the property ,it has been two months now .The blossoms have dropped early this year so there is nothing for the bees and they are swarming every where that there is water or any thing with bright colors .I can't run the swamp cooler in my shop because they get in side of it ,and when i turn it on it sprays bees in the shop.

They sound like air planes

this is between 300-400 hives ,right on my fence line ,i have 3 1/2 acres so the bees are only 200 feet from my shop .I was told there is around 30 thousand bees in one box ,so you can imagine what happens when they get disturbed .There was no way you could have gone down to my shop today the way they were swarming .I made a few more threats to the bee keeper and the Ag Commissioner this evening and i may be getting some results ,other wise i am going to the local tv news station ,they have a way of getting things done .

I am afraid my dogs will get into poisons or that is exactly what i would do .I did spray some spots with raid where the bees were gathering and that kept them away for a day ,but they are back . I put in a call to the Ag Commissioner today and he fed me a line of bull so i told him i am going to the grand Jury to see if it is out of his hands as he tells me ,he called a few minutes ago and says he is going to do every thing in his power to help ..TYPICAL COV.BULL CRAP!! I found a site on the web (Bee keepers association of southern Cali.) and lodged a complaint with them ,don't know if that will get any thing done but i am trying . The hives were sprayed from the grove owner the other night so i am going to contact the food and drug administration and find if they can still sell their honey ,we will see how they like not being able to sell their honey ..Since the guy wants to be an ass hat !!

Nothing yet , they put about 300 bee hives behind my property and the bees are so bad i cant get to my shop . I have complained to the Ag commissioner and he says there is nothing he can do .The bee owner is a giant A hole and will not move the bees .I am trying to contact our district supervisor to see if we can get something done about it .Any one have any ideas on how i can legally get the bees out of here ...that will not land me in jail??
