  1. Squeezing the two tabs together should pinch them in place ,problem is they like to plug up
  2. They are both actually fairly easy to install if you have the spring tool ,its pretty much a hook on the end of a screwdriver ,reach in ,hook the spring and pull until it locks into the trim ring . I made one from a small philips screw driver but you can buy one at the auto parts store
  3. Picked up another one of these things! This one is a 2006 GT with 120,000 miles on it ,black with black and red interior . These kids just keep messing them up and i just happen to have the parts to fix them good as new !already has new brakes all the way around and he just did the full front suspension . He fried the tranny but i just happen to have one here. I have everything to fix it ,even the black paint ...my new stable is growing ! Problem is i have enough parts to build one more ,damn it !
  4. A couple of beers will do that every time!
  5. No sale page ,i just make them . They are made from 69 panels but the only difference is where the little cover is where the windlace meets the top of the panel ,with the little cover in place they work on 69 and 70 . Message me .
  6. I would measure the distance between the other side ,the rocker may have sprung out a bit when the old torque box was removed
  7. Bolts through the fender ,j clip on the radiator support
  8. C4 has a vacuum line to the vacuum modulator valve at the bottom side of the C4 ,it has a short rubber elbow to the modulator ,they rot and split
  9. Yes ,the stone deflector molding is argent also ,although all the trim does have a polished back edge ,only the wide center is painted
  10. The grill trim is argent ,people would clean the paint off if it scratched or started to flake
  11. I used to have a couple of 68 69 cobra torinos ,the hood cut out is the same as the mustang
  12. They are the same ,just dont buy the cheap one ,get the original stamping one ,they are heavier gauge and the stamping is way better
  13. Yes ,laminated 3/16 plate inside ,only needed it in the latch area as the hinges and prop rod use1/4 inch fender clips
  14. If the clip is in correct it locks into the molding ,the spring is a preload to keep the clip in place while tightening ,i sometimes bend the spring to keep it a bit tighter if the clip feels to loose in the molding ,now when tightening the clip is turning into the channel at top and bottom and shouldnt be able to come out
  15. Remember ,the nut tightens to the right so if the clip is in wrong the clip will pop out when tightened
  16. There is a certain direction those clips have to be installed ,if turned the spring the wrong side up the clip will come out when tightening
  17. All of the original hardware works on the trap door ,but i cant find my hinges . Drilling and taping those 4 little screws for the latch i kind of scary ,snap off that 3/16 tap and your screwed!
  18. If using one of the cheaper braces ,it may be the problem . As i said before measure between the towers to see if they are the correct distance apart ,i cant remember off hand what the measurement is but i can get it
  19. I will have to see if i can dig it out
  20. A couple of screws to hold it together and it looks like you could slip it right into place
  21. About the best i could do ,its buried behind a few parts
  22. I have the whole interior for my 69 now. I have had the molds for the trap door for some time ,made from a perfect 69 trap door ,it uses all the factory attachments . I have also had the hockey sticks for a while . The fold down latch covers came out perfect . I even have the roll bar covers for the shelby bar ,i will be putting one in my 69 . The piece above the trap door is finished both sides and uses the factory mounting clips
  23. First set finished ,they will be going in my 69 . I have all the other panels made and will trim them out today .
