  1. I had bought 3 gallons of gulfstream aqua ,enough for my 69 Mustang and my old 35 Ford and tucked it away ,i checked and it is still good so this one will go gulf stream as well ,this pic is pretty close to what it would look like .
  2. It turns out my decent frame had a rotten spot on the bottom and side of passenger side . A plate of steel and my plasma cutter and i had the pieces cut out . It welded in pretty nice ,i left a gap all the way around for welding and took the mig to it . There is a couple of mild pits i could probably have hit with the mig and ground a bit more but it will work like it is ...it isnt going to be chromed after all ! Sprayed a little primer just to keep it from rusting . I get the front frame horn done and i can bolt it to the rotisserie .
  3. When taking these things apart ,i learned a long time ago ,you dont loosen the bolts to get them out ,they are way to rusty . You tighten them ,a couple of turns and the heads pop off ,they are as soft as lead ,it makes taking them apart way easier !
  4. I Got the two frame ends welded back on ,i have to flip it and weld the bottom still, soon as i fix the front frame horn the guy trimmed i will put it on the rotisserie for blasting
  5. I got the two frame ends blasted and primed ,not a lot of pitting ,mainly where it had a hitch bolted over the frame but still nothing bad . The rest of the frame is heavily painted ,it was hard to blast off the ends so i am thinking the main rails will be in great shape! He cut these ends with what looks like a chop saw blade about 1/8 inch think so i will have to leave a gap when i weld them back on ,i will use a chop saw blade to space it
  6. Upper two pics ,37 ford on the bottom with a 46 cab and a butchered bed with an up side down and inside out chevy tailgate ...crap rod!
  7. Other than 3 inches cut off the rear of the frame rails ,and i have the pieces ,and a trimmed front frame horn the old frame is in very good shape . It still has the wish bone front suspension and believe it or not ,set up properly this rides very well . Soon as i get the frame pieces welded back on i will mount it on my rotisserie and get it blasted and epoxy primed. It will run the wish bone with disk brakes a 4 inch drop axle and a good shock set up along with Posi rear leaf spring kit and a cut down nine inch ,it is the same width as a 66 mustang .i will box the front and rear of the frame
  8. Got it home what a death trap haha ! How can anyone think somthing like that is safe ? It has a chevrolet tail gate for you chevy lovers, for you ford lovers it was upside down and backwards !
  9. Well ,a nice ending for 2023 ! I found a rat rod ...junk ..but it has two good 35 37 front fenders in the bed that are easily usable . The running boards are actually in great shape with one dent in the front of the passenger side ,16 gauge metal so you can bang the crap out of them ! A couple of sets of head lights ,fender mounting braces and the inner fender skirts . But best of all it has a very rust free frame ,the guy just cut 3 inches off the rear frame rails but he still has them so so problem to weld back on . I now have everything except the bed but that i will buy new . Someone converted to hydraulic brakes so that is a sellable item ,probably a few more usable pieces but we will see when i get it home this morning .
  10. C4 is what it would have had ,a small case c6 will also work
  11. Actually my 2014 Challenger got 8 years on its factory battery ,but it croaked just a few months after i bought the car ,it survived the previous owner
  12. I dont think i have ever seen one without the clock
  13. I had a Nascar select by interstate in my 78 ford pickup got 9 years out of it and i was very happy with that ,most batteries today if you get 4 years you are lucky
  14. These are normally spot welded and leaded ,but i have had a couple of cars that they were simply held on with philips head screws ,i would screw them in place but seal between them and the body
  15. This one still has the mounting tabs un broken ..he said just before he dropped it ! No panels were dropped or tabs broken during filming ! The screws are flat and not counter sunk ,they appear to be zink coated silver .
  16. I have a few deluxe panels with the light ,i will have to look tomorrow ,seems like they were counter sunk philips
  17. Just spin a couple of donuts in front of the local PD ,they will gladly store it in the impound yard for you
  18. Mine had the black face ,i bought it new . Mine was also on a shaker hood ,i will have to see if i can find a pic of the car ,it was a 69 Mach1 ,spring time yellow black out hood and black and gold side stripes ,and i could kick my self for ever selling it!
  19. Ha ,i went in and tightened all the seats and plastic pieces in my expedition because i got tired of the squeaks ,that lasted about two weeks of driving on Newsoms pot hole encrusted roller coaster roads and now it just like before !
  20. Not really sure ,cussing started almost immediately upon trying to remove it !
  21. There was more than a bit of cussing to get this car to this point trying to remove dynamat,i had to scrape peel and wash down with gas to get it off so i could weld ,sand blaster barely cleaned it up
  22. Man i have had to pull that stuff of to make repairs and it is a night mare . I did a 67 coupe fast back conversion that had dynamat every where and i would never do another one .
  23. Just wondering ,arnt we supposed to say something like "GUM BALL " pass it on ?
  24. Ant it doesnt pee on your windshield like a cat does
