  1. . did they ever work? what did you change? is your engine in or are you just grounding the wire end to the body? if they worked before, it is highly unlikely your instrumemnt voltage regulator went bad . . i have only seen 3 or 4 bad ones in 40 years.
  2. the bodies are made in taiwan, in my view, that generally makes it a taiwan car . . i prefer to have an original ford body on my mustang, especially for a base price of $120,000.00 . . i also wonder just how well a taiwan convertible top frame will work/fit [if thats what they use], especially since all the other body pieces made in taiwan seem to fit so well right out of the box. http://www.dynacornclassicbodies.com/ford_models2.html
  3. i already told you where to find the throttle cable bracket.
  4. . nothing from dynacorn is great . . i would get a ford tooling one unless you want an mint original with old original paint in which case i have one . . i am in so calif. you might spend 2 days fixing a ford tooling one. i did not attach these stupid photos below
  5. . it is impossible to register them in some states and next to impossible to register them in others, so just exactly how is someone going to drive a $120.000.00 car they can not legally register? they will have no affect on the value of the real cars . . the real cars will continue to go up in price and these taiwan repos will continue to go down . . there is noithing collectible about them at all. a new kirkham cobra was HALF the price of a real cobra, so since real aluminum bodied kirkham cobras are worth less now than they originally sold for, what do people think is going to happen to a taiwan made mustang convertible, especially since they can still be found fairly easily?
  6. if you tell us the year and engine size we can help you find the bracket . . national parts depot probably has it.
  7. . the weight depends where you live . . please do not sarch for oil info because your head will definitely explode as mentioned . . if you live in calif, ariz, texas or new mexico use 20w-50 . . if you live elsewhere, use 15w-40 . . if you use synthetic use Royal Purple XPR 15w-40 or 10w-30 depending on area. Use Valvoline VR-1 . . it has all the zddp you nee and ypu can uy it EVERYWHERE.
  8. . oh wait...did it happen to have a toilet seat mounted in the back?
  9. in addition to moog, mcquay norris makes oem style parts global west and maier strut rod bushings are not urethane . . they are slightly harder rubber than stock and dont cause breaking issues . . breakage is extremely rare anyway even with urethane ones.
  10. . yes it can but it will look nothing like a regular gloss black.
  11. ok, i do't understand what you are saying . . they cost 290.00 so why do you want to run them due to cost . . if you dont buy them you save 290.00. dont overtighten urethane strut bushings or run curved washers with the curve inward on them either. they can break strut rods .
  12. . unnecessary for daily street driving . . good if you auto cross or road race. might get global west or maier racing strut rod bushings. if you dont want a super still ride i would not use 620 springs . . i use 480.
  13. . any tach will work . . some have a dhift point lite. there is no adapter . . your parts are mismatched . . might call msd. heres all the msd wiring diagrams . . click on the one you need. http://www.akitarescueoftulsa.com/msd-digital-6al-wiring-diagram/
  14. . no and the cast iron center case got surface rust quickly. spraying the case with primer then cast iron gray will help.
  15. .i if the paint is ahgow quality and the engine is detailed and the underside is orig but decent then maybe $65,000.00. if the paint is orig and the engine looks decent but is intouched etc then maybe $55,000.00 if it was rusty had had a lot of taiwan sheet metal installed then maybe $40,000.00.
  16. . moving it over will have basically 0 effect and will not cause vibration in your case.
  17. . one option. install 1 long stud in each corner of the head. put black permatex silicone gasket maker around each water port and a very small dab in the corner where the block meets the head. put gasket cinch around the intake holes on the head and gasket. install gasket. remove the white plastic from the end seals and install. put silicone around ALL ports on gasket and another very small dab in each corner. install intake. tighten bilts to around 14 ft lbs tighten again. tighten to around 29 ft lbs. tighten again. tighrtrern to 24 ft lbs. tighten again. tighten again. fill with water and run car for 20 minutes and tighten again.
  18. . the traction masters are the only other design for these and they will stiffen the ride a little
  19. . does it start? does it run ok? can you drive it? what is your timing set to?
  20. boogered means warped/distorted etc . . the top of the pad is flat in that area, then it is supposed to drop STRAIGHT down around 1/2" inch . . the rest is open. the area that drops down, inc;luding the area around the entire hole, is supposed to be a very defined/nice crisp . . yours does not look like that. the loose flappy edge on the inside is just extra material that gets trimmed or folded under. http://images.cjponyparts.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/p/a/pad14b_2.71.jpg .
