  1. Good! I was afraid you'd run the dual stripes on it. Your choice has a nice clean conservative look to it! All this IMHO!
  2. Beautiful.... love the blue! Stripes? Headers have MTF logo on them. Are they in house built?
  3. BTW Mach, tbanks for putting that index together.
  4. Yes, I was on there the other day looking at his build but I could not find specific information on what he used. Lots of stuff on what he was considering, just not what he did. Perhaps I overlooked it.
  5. Jay, I've been doing my own searching on this, just wanted some input from others. I sent my booster out to be rebuilt, told them to leave it bare metal. I will be painting it with SPI black epoxy which is not affected by brake fluid. In fact, I will be painting my whole engine bay in SPI black epoxy. Do a search on it if you question it. Looks like the best thing for the master cylinder may be an Eastwood product: https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-brake-gray-aerosol.html?SRCCODE=PLA00020&msclkid=e1e066df4428197d7c9f386e346eb8f7 I may paint my factory calipers with a caliper paint, not sure what I will do with the other suspension components. I did purchase a coating off Amazon call Fluid Film for some steering components. Seems to have good ratings. Not sure though that I want to crawl under there ever so often and spray those parts. You can see it here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008T8CXGY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If anyone else has thoughts and contributions to this, I'd like to hear ya?
  6. I want to keep with a relatively factory stock appearance to some of the suspension components on my car. Many of those parts are bare cast that will, in time, rust. With the exception of powder coating, what is the best product to either paint or preserve these parts? Thanks, John
  7. That appears to be exceptional work. Did you use panel clamps to maintain alignment? I did a couple of wheel arches on my truck last week and thought I'd never finish them....lol!
  8. You're doing that right, Hux. Looks like you got a good fit with that panel too. Curious, how wide is the butt weld gap?
  9. I am going to need a new master cylinder. Going to keep with the OEM brakes. Looking at Summit, they have a Raybestos unit and a Tough Stuff unit. The Tuff Stuff unit is more than twice the Raybestos unit. A lot of this stuff is just rebranded Chinese. Wondering if this is the case with Tuff Stuff. Is the Tuff stuff MC worth more than twice the amount of the Raybestos unit? Thanks!
  10. Yep, I would've too......lol!
  11. So ummmm, what do you think of the color the owner chose?
  12. Finally! Those poor people can get married. Jeez Rich, you held them up for almost a year....lol! Another sweet build!
  13. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but the kid in that video would have driven me nuts......borderline spanking.....lol!
  14. Here's a video you might want to check out. I think it gives a good comparison between the two headliners you are looking into. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6IfYyROguA
  15. Beautiful! Curious, how would you have painted this car if it had been a metallic, Rich?
  16. 69Raven, thank you. I already have and he verified what you stated. I called the lawyer just to see if the owner's insurance might cover it. That aside, I can't go there. The owner goes to my Church, he's a good man and frankly, while the law green lights it, I'd seriously struggle with it. Thank you, Mike. Yes, indeed it is.
  17. Thanks ny, but unless I overlooked them sure didn't see them there. They have Raybestos, Bendix and a few others, all Chinese stuff.
  18. I had considered going with a four wheel disc conversion (Previous Thread Posted) but after much thought have decided to stick with OEM set up of front disc brakes and rear drums. In this venture alone I'm left with many questions and some confusion. Also, in this particular area, I don't feel the need to spend a ton of cash. I'm going to order new single piston calipers through NPD however the area of uncertainty is in the rotors. One of my rotors could probably be turned, the other likely not. These are factory two piece rotors for which I believe I can press the studs out and separate the two pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong on that, please? I'm not finding many options for the rotors unless I go with a single piece rotor. I'm thinking I would like to just keep my factory rotor hubs and purchase new rotors to press unto my hubs, if you're following me here??? I found the following link and I think it my allow me to do what I'm talking about above: https://www.r1concepts.com/detail_catalog/index/r1-carbon-geomet-Series_eLINE-Series/ref=FORD+MUSTANG+1969+Front_Disc_BrakesSMCL_351_dna_390_Cubic_Inch_Engines+Front+Slotted_Rotor+silver+++ They offer a smooth rotor like the OEM unit but also offer drilled and slotted options with coatings to keep down the rust. They don't offer the coatings for the smooth. I like that but I'm not sure that those drilled and slotted rotors would work with my OEM calipers and the OEM style pads. They do sell pads but not for my car. Thoughts on this? Another concern I have should I go this route of buying just the rotors and pressing them onto my hubs, will there be some issues in balancing? Thanks, John
  19. Yes! And, if you scroll down just a littler further in that passage, you'll find this: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal." This Mustang of mine is very dear to me and sometimes I wonder about that. It was my first car, my father helped me acquire it and I have good memories with it. I turned 60 at the beginning of this year and I've not driven it since 1983. It was weird turning 60, no other birthday has bothered me as much as this one. Knowing that most of my life was over with and wondering how much I have left and thinking about what I have and have not done. Lots of thoughts. One of those thoughts was would I ever drive the Mustang again. Would I finish it before I pass this life. I think about those thoughts and the above scripture and think that perhaps I put too much into something that I will leave behind one day. I saw this the other day while I was feeling sorry for myself, "life is not about what we consume, but what we give away". Thanks for giving, Rich!
  20. Wow Rich, what can I say! That is incredibly kind of you and I am deeply touched by it but I would feel, for lack of better words, uneasy in it. Uneasy in that I make a good living and there are others out there with projects that only wish they could afford some of the things I lost. In time, I will re-coupe what I lost. In fact, I've already spoken with both Modern Driveline and Opentracker Racing and I think they are going to help me out a little in cost of replacing the stolen parts. Between that and what you offered, I am moved that there are still very good people out there. I probably don't need to tell you, but when something like this hits you, you become cynical, negative, and lacking in trust of others. I don't want to be that way. Your offer lifts my spirit. And btw, I am grateful for your presence on this forum. The builds you post here and your tutorials provide a wealth of knowledge to guys like me and I know it must take a ton of time out of your day to provide those things. You give a lot when you do that and I appreciate you for it. Thank you so much!
  21. Thanks! You like your Borgeson set up?
  22. Vic, tried to PM you, said you can't take messagesIs, your box full?
