I just had 17x8 wheels put on my car and looking for suggestions on lowering the rear end. rear leaf springs, shocks etc are all stock. does anyone have pictures of suggested leaf springs shocks etc for me to lower the rear end some? i'm wanting to drive it as a road trip type car so i want the rear end to be pretty sturdy not bottoming out when i have passengers. excuse the blue tape the shop is installing the glass and door weatherstripping.

yes.. it seems it mounts different but I have not found anywhere to order the ones for the 69 or even any used ones.

I'm not sure why but I didn't get any notifications that there were replies to this so sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for the suggestions, I cannot find the broken one but here is a pic of the one i have. I did end up purchasing some of the 68 version ones and gonna see if a friend can drill out the rivets and make a bracket to fit my 69.

I have a 69 convertible with a manual top. I have a hold down clamp on one side but the other side is broken. I cannot find any for this year only for years up to 68 which mounts differently. Any idea of how i keep the 69 top down if it is a manual one? thanks, Melinda

After replacing how can you test the gauges prior to installing them? Ive heard people say they are pretty tempermental

Has anyone used any of the newer mustang paint colors. I'm looking at maybe using the new ruby red metallic, red candy apple metallic or the fire red metallic on my 69 convertible but not sure since I haven't seen any older mustangs with those colors on them. I'm going with a black top and black interior. Thanks

I have a 69 convertible manual top mustang and on the passenger side I have a hold down clamp but not on the drivers side I guess it was broke over the years any suggestions on where I can find one or other options. I seen the 68 and older only which bolts up different. Thanks and I'm glad I found a forum for just 69's
