  1. Magician Sorry I'm new to this, but if you're asking about what proportioning valve it is an SSBC
  2. Max Power Yes it did have power drums and I changed the front to disc Thanks for the info
  3. 1969 Mach 1 Yes I did do a disc brake conversion, but it already had power brakes, I did think about that though so I called the place where I got the conversion kit from and they said that everything was good as far as the pedal. Thanks for the info
  4. MikeStang Yes I have driven the car, it stops alright they just don't feel right, I will bleed them again and see what happens Thanks ago for the info
  5. MikeStang Yes I have already done all of that, but it sounds like my brakes are just like yours. It has been 4 years restoring it so maybe I just forgot how they were. Thanks for the info
  6. Thanks for the info, yes I've already done all of that, so it sounds like I will be getting a canister and see if that helps
  7. Thanks for the reply, the pedal doesn't feel bad, they just don't have good stopping power like they should, and yes I did check the vacume and the best that I could get was 12-13 at idle, so I was thinking a vacume canister might help, just not sure!!
  8. I was hoping you guys could help me with my brakes. The problem is that my brakes aren't the best, I've put a disc brake conversion on the front, new mc, booster, and lines. I've bled the brakes at least 4 times, but they still don't feel the best. My other thing is vacume, I built the 302 that's in it to a 306 roller with the cam being 214./224 @ 50 with lift at 472./496. with a 112 lobe. Would it help to put a vacume reserve canister on for the extra vacume. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  9. Lots of nice cars and trucks, but where the heck are all of the mustangs!!!!
  10. rodbrady You should find the casting # behind the starter
  11. Maxum96 If all casting # are the same from 68-7? then why does mine read D4DE- 6015 A, which is for a 1974 falcon/ maverick
  12. I guess I'm confused, if the 54 with the A following it is the DSO then what is the 53 on the DSO stand for.
  13. Sorry the A after the 54 is for standard interior not luxury like I stated
  14. WBODDE, Your numbers are 54A 1 2A 12L 53 3 W The 54 doesn't make sense because mustang never had a 54, they only had 65,76, or 63, yours being a coupe it would be 65, the A is for luxury interior. The next is for color, 1, are you sure it's not an I, because I cant find a 1 for color on a 69, but if it's an I it would be Lime Gold 2A, is for interior trim code, and your's would be Black Vinyl Bucks 12L, is for the day an month, your's is the 12th of November 53, is for DSO, (Domestic special order District Codes), your's Kansas City 3, is for Axle Ratio Code, so that makes yours a 2.79 W, is for Transmission Codes, so that makes yours a C-4 Auto and the 2nd (F) in your vin.# is for the engine code, so that makes yours a 302 2V I hope this helps
  15. Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to check in to the evans antifreeze
  16. Going off of the numbers you are showing for the engine it is for a 68 fairlane
  17. Thanks to all of the relies, a lot of good info
  18. MustangBobby,Thanks a bunch for the info and the vid, sounds like a good way to go, do you use it? Is it as good as they say?
  19. Thanks for the info, yeah I live in indiana so I have to worry about the freeze
  20. Thanks for info, where can you get it, and is it a 50/50 mix
  21. I was wanting to know what's the best kind of antifreeze use in a alum radiator
