  1. I used a dynacorn decklid and couldn't be happier. I did do the entire rear of the car tho, including full quarters, floors, tail light panel so I built my car around the decklid. Mine was nice and not wavy, I think with a coat of high build it'll block out real nice.
  2. I just got done putting DII full quarters on my car. It took 5 mins to put molding clip pins on, pretty simple.
  3. Kool. Were running the concours judging you should stop over.
  4. Anybody else off here going to road America this weekend? Big Shelby event...SAAC 39. Racing/swap meet/concours judging. Should be fun...we just got here hope the rain stops.
  5. Thanks guys. Yea shes coming along, now its onto the cowl. Just got a dynacorn cowl from UPS but wont be working on her for a few days now. We just got to Elkhart lake in Wisconsin, Road America. Big Shelby event/racing...gonna be fun.
  6. So I got around to finishing the rear of my car finally. Ground down all the plug welds and threw some epoxy on her to protect it until bodywork time. Heres a couple of pics of the trunk.
  7. Very nice, I need one of those. It would look good in a restomod.
  8. Yeah I hear ya. I'm not going bigger than a 17 inch rim. I could put a bigger sidewall on I guess. I personally would like to try and squeeze a deep dish mach 1 rim in the back.
  9. Haha...well to look at it looks awesome, I love the stance. I was asking more will I run into problems running it this low...obviously speed bumps will be an issue, lucky for me I have none of those nearby.
  10. I really like the stance of my new suspension setup but just curious if anybody else is running a car this low and if you ran into any problems. Would I have to get shorter shocks . I measured from the ground to the fender lip with the old setup and it was 29.5"...new setup is 25.5...4" drop. Fender lips are rolled, just curious about bump stops and shocks.
  11. What brand and where did you guys buy your wheel adapters from. Im putting 2004 mach 1's on my 70. I believe I need a 1.25 on all 4 corners, plz correct me if im wrong. I want to make sure I use a good quality one and not some cheap cast ones that will break.
  12. Threw some DP74 epoxy on the bare metal to protect it. Good enough for now until do the final bodywork.
  13. finished up the sail panel today :)
  14. I thought these were gold cad plated. I do like the black color tho, I will be doing this to mine. That blue is a nice color, is that a plug weld I see that wasn't ground down, lol.
  15. Looking really good. Did you make your own wrap arounds for the shock towers? Nice work its coming together.
  16. Definitely do a boss 302. Like others have said get a marti report also. Shouldn't be too expensive to do, not sure if any metal work needs doing but if this is an original boss car then do it as a boss for sure.
  17. Well I do this for a living (not leading) but I restore cars. I used to work for Kevins Klassic cars in cannon falls, MN as the fabricator/welder...Big boss 429 restorer, sold a lot of cars at barrett Jackson. Not that we did leading there, we used panel bond there. Now I work for another resto shop and the owner likes to do everything the right way, old school. I am currently doing a 67 Shelby GT 500 there and the owner wanted the seams leading, so I guess I used the GT 500 as my guinea pig before doing my own...lol. That was the first leading ive ever done and my car is the second. As long as the metal is nice and clean and tinned good its actually pretty easy. Just watch the heat, don't get it too hot or your seam will end up splattered on the floor :)
  18. Thank you sir. Its coming together for sure.
