  1. Thanks for the replies and help. Now I just need to find a clutch pedal and associated parts.
  2. Could you shoot a pic or two of the part that bolts to the cowl also plz. I cant see that part in the pics. the firewall mounting looks the same.
  3. So im at work today, just pushed the 67 gt 500 in the paint booth for some high build primer. So I pour the primer into a quart cup and get out the MEKP hardener. Well I start squeezing the hardener out of the little drip bottle and the bottom of it explodes and the whole bottle goes into my face, eyes, arms. My main concern was my eyes cuz this is NASTYYYYY stuff, I barely make it to the sink and start flushing, lol. So yeah I spent 6 hours at hospital having my eyes flushed for 3 hours almost and left with burn marks on my arms and all over my scalp. I did go back to work though and got her primed :punk:
  4. My car was originally an auto car but I bought it with no engine or transmission. I will be putting a manual in it. Is the pedal assembly or should I say the assembly that the pedals attach to the same or do they use different brackets between the two. If it is the same how does the clutch pedal attach? Is it just a longer pin and the pedal goes on the outside of the bracket. Anybody got a pic?
  5. Good idea, those things always bust loose.
  6. Yea it sucks, I bought a full set because I needed a drivers side also, if it would have been the other way around I would have sold you mine.
  7. I built my car around my new dynacorn deck lid so mine fits perfect lol. Seriously tho I really did, I replaced my quarters, filler panel, trap door surround, tail light panel. You are right tho, ive seen a lot of nice cars where it look likes s*** when you walk to the back of the car.
  8. Hey guys just thought id throw this on here if anybody is looking for one. I have a brand new still in box center cap for a mag 500 rim. It is not a ford part but its officially licensed by ford. Make me an offer, not sure what its worth, I went with mach1 rims so I no longer need this. I will post a pic in a couple hours or so.
  9. That was the idea somewhat. Obviously I'm doing a restomod and just wanted to do something a little different back there. If I end up not liking them I'll toss them and buy new ones. I couldn't have used these anyways so nothing to loose by trying.
  10. Yea I like how they turned out. Not a quick job, gotta be patient with the sanding block, then even more so with the round sanding block for all the inside corners. The first step was to sandblast all the flaking chrome off, then fill all the recessed areas with 3m panel bond. 24 hours later grind down/smooth out the panel bond, then start with the filler. The small lip on the part that goes towards the lens was ground away with a carbide then also smoothed with filler.
  11. So I felt like a change today, so I decided to do some filler work! Ive always liked the look of the billet tail light bezels that you can get for earlier cars but never saw anything available for 70's. Plus id want 'blacked' out billet bezels for my car, so......... Im doing the boss 302 look on my car with all the black accents so I did this......
  12. Thinking about it you could even buy the new drop offs for not much more than a piece of sheet metal that youll have to buy. Rivet those in place then patch your quarters. Just a thought.
  13. Yes, if you really wanted you could throw a little filler on there and rough it in with 40 grit and throw some paint on if its going to be a few years.
  14. I would shape a piece of metal as close as you can, maybe use some rivets and panel bonder.
  15. I thought this was pretty cool looking. Ton of work, basically a 67 grafted onto a 05. Id rock it.
  16. If your attempting to replicate the factory drips on the underside make sure your wearing eye protection, lol. Believe me it stings a little.
  17. I spray all the restorations at work totally apart. I do the body on a rotisserie then bake, then do doors, hood, decklid, mirrors, extensions. Personally id use a tinted sealer close to the color your going to paint.
  18. Lol, yea I hear ya. My cowl was virtually none existent also. Looks weird to see a cowl on there.
  19. with the new door jams (a pillars) and a new cowl, shes starting to look like something.
