  3. I like the 69 coupe better than the 70 coupe, does that count? I also like the 70 fastback better than the 69 fastback. So much for consistency.
  4. I added a relay to the horn circuit to prevent full voltage constantly running through it. I've heard too many fire stories to not take it seriously.
  5. So the top picture is before? I might be biased, but a white 70 Mach is about as good looking as a Mustang can get.
  6. Are you planning in wrapping those or using flex loom on it?
  7. There's all positives and no negatives associated with replacing the NSS. It's a pretty simple operation. There are some serious downsides to bypassing it. In the event something tragic happens because of the bypassed switch, you're responsible. Would you really be willing to take a chance that someone won't get hurt because you didn't want to swap out a simple part?

    My daughter made this. I also have a 1:1 scale model of a 70 Mach 1 that I should be out working on.
  10. I'm not sure the fiberglass housing would be willing to cooperate with a big hammer.
  11. Ok, went back to work on the car today. Got a lot of little things done, nothing to crow about, but I did run into a snag. I'm putting the blower motor back in now that the AC/heater box is in place and I"m having a bit of difficulty getting it to both mate with the plenum and line up all the bolt holes. I'm about an inch off. Does anyone have any tips other than perseverance?
  12. I just finished putting mine back in the car without disconnecting the AC lines and you absolutely have to remove the lower dash. I patched up the old box with fiberglass and noticed that about half the perches the clips rest on were damaged prior to my disassembly. The WCCC video was a godsend in that whole process, especially since it was almost a year between disassembly and reassembly.
  13. If I recall correctly the valve shuts the flow of water to the heater core when the AC is on so it can cool better. It has a vacuum connection to activate it. Or maybe it opens the valve when the heater is on. I can't really remember which.
  14. I know the 70 with the 351C and AC had molded tubes at the firewall along with a water valve.
  15. I finally put by A/C box back in the car yesterday. That means I'm now officially in the reassembly phase.

  17. I was just reading on another forum about the E-Stopp. I just don't know how it would work in actuality. It seems like an on/off thing instead of a lever that has variable resistance.

  19. I have the exact same problem with my 90 AOD. I was told it's most likely the direct clutch. My fluid was burnt but I drove it a little further than you did.
  20. Liberal application of the little pedal on the right.
  21. It moves a chunk of weight from the front of the car to the rear, making for better launches at the drag strip and better weight distribution on a road course. It also makes for a cleaner looking engine compartment.
