looking to have a reputable shop within an hour of NYC to do my coilover and coyote install. any suggestions on a good shop they trust?
-
thats possible, but its that easy removing the instrument cluster? 8 or so screws?
-
Beginner tinkerer here. I want to remove the instrument cluster on my 69 to install new LED's behind the gauges. I see about 8 holes around the cluster which appear to be allen key shaped. What tool do you use to remove the instrument cluster? I appreciate it! Cruising DC last night

Thanks! Looking at the Detroit Speed setup setting aside cash to do it over the winter. hopefully along with the coyote and 6 speed (depending on how well work in the freelance biz goes this year) -
i was thinking of going amber for my high beams like the anvil mustang. you think i will have to upgrade to h4 before doing so?

Suggest a 69 mach 1 lowering springs kit?
d1gital replied to d1gital's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
what about for the rear? drop shackles? -
So I want to close the wheel gap on my 69 mach 1 a bit so it looks more modern. Ill go full coilover suspension when I do the coyote engine swap later this year, but in the meantime, was going to see if you guys suggested a good front springs and rear leaf springs replacement kit to lower my car a couple of inches. It has 17" eleanor wheels on 245 tires.

http://www.dallasmustang.com/suspension-handling-kit-1969-1970.html?gclid=COrhnuDbob0CFQ2hOgodoiwAJw ordered that for my 69. was hoping to drop her a bit though, any suggestions without spending a fortune on a custom kit?

How hard is it? I want to remove it. Is it connected by adhesive or is it a bolted on piece?
-
no worries. i looked them up. found the builders of that car. ill let you know what i find

what was your process? did you cut the 68 tail light holes and weld them onto the 69 tail light panel? Or did you reshape the entire 68 panel to fit? if so, how challenging is that? did you have to redo the gas filler pipe? any other body mods have to be done to accommodate? thank you!
-
yeah, im guessing im going to just have to grind it down to fit. I wonder if the gas cap and tail light fixtures will fit after that.
-
Saw the tail lights on the anvil mustang. http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrdp_1106_1969_ford_mustang/photo_02.html Did some research and saw some other custom mustangs with 67-68 tail lights on a 69 car. Anyone attempt this? Im very much considering doing this but wanted to see if anyone had insight into the most effective way to do this
