Now....is the doe tag located on the horn, rack or rump area?

I have just done my 65FB, so what I do is put a line of masking tape just outside the area that is the gasket line before the glue is applied, this prevents you getting glue marks on your paint outside the gasket line.

Those repro handles are crap, the internal parts are for an earlier model and don't fit, get  some original Ford handles and get them rechromed.

Make sure you have the  seam at the back and not the front. You would be  amazed how many people do it wrong. 

Yeah....the divorce delay got in the way! Lol. All is good and we remain good friends.

PS: I incorrectly installed windshield last year and had it removed and installed professionally today. 3 people (professionals) refused to take out my carlite glass. They were all gung-ho until they came and saw the condition of the car.....they all said it couldn’t come out without cracking. The last guy with 31 years experience got it out in one piece.

Anyone have part numbers for the Bilsteins? I looked at their site and they search didn't return anything for big block cars

Curious....what were the original color of shocks from the factory? Orange in front and black in back?

I realize that we are on a old thread but just to throw out some info; Graphic Express has a wide array of hood stencils. I bought one for my painter to use. Looks great. He used a two stage paint on my car and as I recall put a flattening agent in the clear coat over the black. Unsure which black he used but it was Sherwin-Williams. I have the bill in a binder that may have part numbers for the paint. I can look if someone needs that info..   Dave R

Lower dash and steering column are dark charcoal metallic and the dash and the lower dash “corners” trims are black.

Never.....ever like seeing these types of pictures (especially a beautiful ‘69). Just really hope the occupants were miraculously ok (hopefully since it wasn’t mentioned as a fatal crash).

Dave , just pulled the grommet back and the hole does not look die stamped but it's hard to tell.
 

There are three if not four variations of length of wire past the grommet and how that wire runs (integral to the harness or a plug-in).  The Osborne assembly manuals show two of them, depending upon whether one had dual exhaust or not.

Looking Good Dave, really nice.

It makes sense now.  Low millage but kind of a hard life 1/4 mile at a time.

Already did buy both new.....lost (misplaced) one of them. Now I don’t know which one i need.
