  1. Recently picked up a 69 S-Code 4 spd. project car that was already completely torn down. As we were digging through everything we noticed the tag on the tranny was RUG J2 which is a correct for this car 28-Spline WR unit, but lists for a 390 Fairlane and not the correct RUG M3. The PO was certain it was original to the car and said that possibly due to it being an early build date (10/68) that Ford may have pulled that off the shelf instead during assembly. Is the Fairlane unit the same dimensions and setup as the Mustang unit? If not, what tailshaft number do I need to start searching for? Thanks in advance.
  2. Moderators please remove. Part is now listed on eBay.
  3. Purchased a perfect original trim ring off eBay and it was unfortunatley damaged in shipping. Someone with some metal working talent may be able to salvage it as it was bent and the metal cracked in the front. Would rather see someone use this if at all possible. PM me with an email address and I can send pictures. Ryan
  4. Complete with flapper and vacuum actuator. Mid-plate is in very good condition and has not been cut or modified in any way. It is missing one of the floating mounting tabs which can easily be recreated and will not be noticeable. Actuator may need to be rebuilt, but appears to be an original piece. Please PM me with an email address and I can send pictures. Ryan
  5. Recently picked up a complete shaker unit with an incorrect air cleaner base. Has some distortion around the carb. hole, but all of the metal is still there. Also, one of the mid-plate mounting studs is broken off. It is not perfect, but can certainly be restored. Base only w/o snorkel. Part # [4] 70072 PM me with an email address and I can send pictures. Ryan
  6. Recently picked up a complete shaker unit with a 70 351C ([4] 70072) base. Trying to locate a 390 base to purchase or trade.
  7. Thanks Grabber. It's on its way so we'll have to measure it when it comes in. It looks like it may be a 351C base w/ a 390 snorkel.
  8. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/album.php?albumid=31 I am trying to identify what air cleaner base and snorkel is in the attached pictures. The only numbers I can find on the air cleaner is a 4 w/ a box around it and 70072. Anyone have any thoughts? I'm trying to piece together a 390 unit. See link for pictures... Thanks in advance for the help!
  9. Talk to a good CPA or Financial Planner and run the numbers with them. Having done something similar myself it can be both a blessing and a curse. You will need to count the rent as income which may affect your tax bracket, but you do get some write-off's that can help. The biggest challenge for me was that it limited my ability to purchase my own home and comes up when making big purchases. If you're already in the house you plan on staying in and not planning on buying a new car, etc. it might be worth looking in to. Could save all three of you some decent money and locking in the rate would be a huge peace of mind for me. Good luck with whatever you do.
  10. After getting the same email below he followed up with this. Here is the VIN# 9F02Z198776 and see the car PICS attached. The car is in excellent condition and has manual tranmision. I have no use for the car anyway, due to my job. I have a clean title ready to be signed. The car has no electrical or mechanical problems. Since I\m very busy with my job we can use eBay to complete the transaction. The deal will go strictly according to eBay rules and policy. Regards
