  1. Hello all, I wanted to re-introduce myself now that I'm back with a new project. Last month I picked up a 1970 Mach 1 that was a little rough, but looked like it had an interesting history. It's a Grabber Orange 'DSO 89' car, loaded with options including shaker hood, tach, tilt, am/fm, deluxe seat belts, fold-down, AC, PS, PDB, intermittent wipers, convenience group, bumper guards, and a few others. The car was ordered new by a Ford executive, and delivered to Ford Headquarters. The car itself has been sitting untouched for 20 years waiting for a new owner to rescue it. The car's pretty straight, but still needs a lot of work and parts. I'm going for an 'as-delivered' look, but will stop short of concourse, and I may even put a T5 in there since I'm partial to manual shift cars. Thanks for reading my long post, I'll try and keep the thread updated as I go. Here's some photos of the car:
  2. Mustang market makes great deluxe door panels as well. Soft like the originals. The last set I bought from another vendor was hard as a rock.
  3. Vintage AC and a 5 speed. And then spend the rest on gas enjoying the car.
  4. That looks great. How much Ni-Doc did you have to purchase?
  5. Where did you buy the 3m Di-noc? I searched ebay and this looks like a good solution to panels with damage or poor color.
  6. Original scoops and repops are all fiberglass. There are some differences between the reproductions and originals, be sure to look over the one you're buying to make sure it's the one you want. Depends on if you want the grille in the front and lights in the back or not. I am selling the reproduction scoop off of my 1970 Mach 1 for $50 if you're interested. Just want to send it off to a good home. PM me if you'd be interested.
  7. Hello all, I have a 1970 Mustang that came from the factory with a shaker, and unfortunately - the setup is long missing. From what I was told, it was stolen years ago and the owner at the time just put a regular scoop over the hole and a parts store air cleaner... Anyway, my car is originally a 351-2v car though the base should be the same for 4v. Please let me know what you have and how much you want for it. I have a scoop and midplate already but would buy a complete setup if necessary. Thanks, Jason
  8. Aftermarket/Dealer option, I've seen a handful with these roofs. They're very unusual and rare. But this is one of the circumstances when rarity and desirability are completely opposite one another.
  9. I watched the show last week, partly for the joy of seeing what I would do different. I can't say that I'm a fan of the finished product, or that I agree with their value - but still, at least they brought a project car back to the road, and it looks like they fixed the rust properly in the floors/rockers. But removing the 351w for a 302 in interest of time... I think we all know these restorations can't be rushed, and that car was the result. But at least it's on the road!
  10. I sent you a PM, interested in the console / dash panels / Honeycomb. Thanks, Jason
