  1. I can send you mine, they are not "new" (broken tab on the bottom, etc) however. First rule of restoration, don't throw anything away :).
  2. Looking good, cant wait to see the final product. I noticed on the test car the raised speaker pods... how close are they to the rear window?
  3. Would love to see progress pics if available?
  4. I'm in if you do offer a group deal- consider me on of the first five :) .
  5. At any rate, please let me know when one is available or put me on the list etc... I'll take one ASAP :). Thanks, -Tony
  6. CoGs isn't always just a matter of gas + distance for shipping... sometimes it's also increases in SGandA (employee pay/amenities/bonuses etc, facilities, maintenance, other overhead etc); any one of these can marginally increase the shipping costs (Cost of Goods sold)....
  7. Hey Mach 1 whst disappointed you re: Martz? Best, -Tony
  8. Pics of my (almost) completed engine bay. Haven't decided on the intake hood seal or plain and let the air cleaner just poke up into the hood scoop...
  9. Thanks for the tip to Ansen... I just took a gander at their products, and they don't seem to have anything specific to the 351w / tall. Can you point me to what you think would fit? Thanks!!!
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys... Definitely need tall covers- I'll take a look around.
  11. Hey guys, Nearing completion of my build and I'm reconsidering my choice in valve covers. I've a 351w with Edelbrock Victor Jr Heads, and I'm not completely satisfied with the valve cover fit. I like the old school look, but the way these fit it does'nt seem the bolts line up right (note the long bolts on the back two positions) and have to be adjusted with additional washers, etc. I'm curious what others have done with a similar setup- Ford Racing covers, etc? Thanks for the feedback- -Tony
  12. Check out Martz Chassis out of Bedford PA (http://www.martzchassis.com). I sent my '69 Coupe there for a complete chassis redo, including a 4 link installation- Gary (owner) was a pleasure to work with and the shop produced a top quality product. A bit pricey, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for :).
  13. Anyone? Surely someone has installed something to fill the space / keep bugs out of the radiator, etc... if so pics and details on attachment etc much appreciated! Thanks, -Tony
  14. Folks, Has anyone installed a screen behind their front grill? If so, any pics and details on materials used, etc? Thanks in advance, -Tony
  15. Same here MTF- I've still got my '69 interior ripped out (mostly, though it's going in slowly). If you need anything (pics, measurements, etc) please let me know-
  16. Guys, I just got a replacement seat belt warning relay and associated wiring. The relay is what appears to be a used part. I'm curious if anyone has wired this up? If so, was there a ground? It looks like the bolt tab on the relay is broken off, and I suspect this is what provided ground to the relay and associated circuit. This is what I picked up: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/10003191.html and http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/13152-Wiring-Harness-Assembly-Seat-Belt-Reminder-Standard-Used-1968-Mercury-Cougar.html Also if you know what type of fuse goes in the wire that would be helpful as the fuse did not ship with the wiring- Best, -Tony
  17. Hi Bob, Would be interested in discussing the deck lid- any pics you can share? IM / Message me for contact info- Thanks, -Tony
  18. Awesome thanks... yea the problem is I'm looking for a "plain" deck lid without the spoiler (I've a repro spoiler I'm putting on the car). Thanks again, -Tony
  19. Folks, I'm in desparate need of a new deck lid for my Coupe project. Unfortunately, this is one item body-wise I don't believe anyone reproduces (that is, without the duck-tail spoiler, etc). I've seen a few on e-bay and CL, but in no better shape than my original. I did find a shelby fiberglass from ClassicDiscountParts, the only picture is of the bottom- the pattern underneath looks like the coupe, but I can't tell if it has the ducktail spoiler. I'm curious if anyone knows if the two ('69 shelby vs coupe) are interchangeable? Also, if anyone has a '69 coupe deck lid that is in good shape they are willing to part ways with, please let me know- Regards, -Tony
  20. Thanks fordguy- no they are not available yet. I contacted them almost three years ago and got the "we're working on it, should be soon" response- I've all but given up on them doing anything for the '69 coupes. Their '68 and below headliners and overhead consoles look awesome though, had I built a '68 I definitely would have gone that route.
  21. Hey Stangme, Did you put screens in you side scoops? If so, how did you secure them? Thanks, -Tony
  22. Google fu doesn't turn up much, but hoping someone knows someone who makes a one-piece headliner for the '69 coupes?
  23. Bob, I considered how I would be able to do that- fold down rear seat that is. One way I considered was to use a FB rear seat with the hardware perhaps... How much would you want for the extra rear quarter trim panels (and where are you located?)? 69vert- only the inside wells were tubbed, so I guess a mini-tub + :). Best, -Tony
  24. Hi Bob, I was considering something along those same lines... but hate to cut up the original trim panels... looks like I'll be shopping e-bay :). Best, -Tony
  25. Guys, Last year I had some work done to the chassis on my '69 Coupe resto-mod which included installing mini-tubs. I'm at a point now where I am working on the interior, and as you can imagine, the rear seat frames no longer fit between the mini-tubs. I ended up cutting down the seat frames to fit and re-upholstered, I think it looks ok (except for the back, I'm going to re-do the upholstery to line everything up). The challenge I have now is that the rear quarter trim obviously doesn't fit around the tubs (which are squared off). Looking for guidance on how to solve this particular challenge. If anyone else has been through this particular challenge I'd love to hear how you solved it- I'm also not opposed to removing the rear seats altogether and going with a delete install, I'd be happy to hear if anyone did that as well and how you did it. Best, -Tony
