  1. You said it brother... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGRYPYuFZLk
  2. Nice Job! Can't to wait to see it buffed out and in the sun! Congrats!
  3. Congrats...I voted again...good luck!
  4. It's actually the seam, not a crack. The a-pillar meets the roof panel and is welded together to form that joint. It was originally filled with lead. You can fill it in with All Metal and sand it to get the final shape. In regards to rust inside the a-pillar...only one way to get to it to do it right in my opinion, and that 's to take the skin off the inside of the door jam, remove the rust, rust proof and prime. I'm actually in that stage now...I'm heading out on vacation for two weeks but hope to post some pics before I leave. You can PM me and I can send you a few pics of where I'm at. What started out as repairing the door post turned into fabbing up the majority of the post, bottom end of the a-pillar and the inside cowl panel. You could probably get away with using a long tip spray nozel and spray rust converter and sealer into the a-pillar...but I just couldn't bring myself to do it not knowing if all the metal was completely covered inside the pillar.
  5. definitely a fun area to repair ;)...I've been working on the drivers side door post up to about a 1/4 of the way up the a-pillar. Almost ready to move to the passenger side.

  7. Ditto for me, I need both sides, but need the entire piece. If anyone has a project car they're cutting up or parting out, let me know...of course with priority to Chappy who posted first. Chappy, As an FYI I'm contacting a wrecking yard in AZ who has a load of mustangs...I'll let you know if I have any luck there, might be able to save on some shipping if they can cut them out. If not, looks like they'll have to be fabbed, which I'm about ready to resort too.
  8. I got if for a $1.61 last night. Last week I got it for a $1.53...minus the Kroger discount I actually paid $1.43 last week...I pissed myself at the pump I was so happy (cleanup at Pump 5!). It was even announced last week that the Arab nations are pushing back the planned production decrease. It's all about futures...
  9. gobble gobble gobble gobble to you all...be safe.
  10. same thing my ex-wife said right before you she left me to run off with a younger guy...
  11. Ah, I know where you're at, good to know another member is close. Did you make it to the Pumpkin Run this year?
  12. Thanks for the reply, I'll actually complete the remaining welds today. I've replaced the entire pans, including toe board and rear seat. I'm using rosette welds where the factory spot welds are and have been butt welding the floor pans in...and yes it does take much longer but will look cleaner when finished. If I finish welding today I'll probably do some clean up on the welds and then start replacing the entire cowl. I've contacted about every place I can find and no one is producing the side cowl/kick panel for the '69. Both of mine are shot. There's a metal fabricator around the corner from my office that I've used before, they produce all kinds of parts for the Mini-Cooper (luggage racks, etc). I'm going to remove mine and see if they can reproduce the panel.
  13. I think I'll shoot up there as well...I think I'm working that Saturday...but I can step out of the office in the morning.
  14. Found this, unfortunately all the pic links are broken... http://www.1969stang.com/articles/rack.html
  15. A question for those of you who have replaced your floor pans. Did you... 1. Stitch weld and then seam seal. or 2. Complete seam weld. Is there a preferred way or is it totally personal preference? BTW...got gas for $2.09 today...just about filled my pants...:shit:
  16. She's so cold, as pure as the driven slush and that's not jewelry she's talkin' about...
