Yes...there's this nice little bar in Monaco: Bar Du Quai. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Quai+des+Artistes/@43.7325299,7.4237902,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xc048f0c57c7f0282!8m2!3d43.7325299!4d7.4237902

Rsanter- To answer a few questions,
I already had been using the Monte Carlo Bar and Export Brace.  That is why I question if it is necessary to weld all of the pieces that come with the kit. I have good shock towers and no cracks plus I will be installing the Tin Man Sub frame connector at a later time.  Installing the reinforcement kit would be just an insurance measure.

I know of  a guy who has a similar build with the Tim Man SFC, he has no shock tower reinforcement and hasn't developed any cracks.
I know of another guy who has a Cougar with more torque in his motor, he races all the time w/o shock tower reinforcements but uses Tin Man SFC.

The car will see some street racing, I never back down from a race and mostly cruising and car shows
Header is close because the motor is shifted more to that one side, I'll be getting Ron Morris Motor Mounts.

    What is a TA brace?
I don't know what stitch welding?

Here's a nice little video about the BOSS 302 Chassis Mod done by West Coast Classic Cougar

I went a little overboard when I was removing the vinyl top of my 69 coupe -  I popped out the rivets fairly aggressively and tossed the trim that goes around the back window - not realizing that i would need it again (in my defense, its pretty big piece of trim and i figured it was just to hold down the vinyl)

on top of that I patched up the rivet holes along the bottom (again, in my defense, they were very far away from the back glass that I thought it was just a vinyl top thing)

I left the rivet holes to the sides and top of the glass thinking there would be coupe piece of trim.

so now.... i'm left with this

I cant be the first person who ditched the fatty back glass trim and wanted something more slender?

I've been wanting to add a pair of speakers to the front of my Mach. I tried the MP Products kick panels with speaker pods but they were less than ideal for a manual transmission car. They interfered with the emergency brake pedal for starters. They also cramped the foot box area in general, considering I wear a size 14, room is at a premium. I refuse to cut anything to install speakers anywhere in the car.

I had an extra pair of fresh air vents in the parts pin so I thought I could perhaps mount a speaker in each of them. I want to maintain the appearance of a working vent but have it contain a 6.5" speaker. I have started modifying one side and have a pair of speakers on order. I had an old speaker at work that I used for mock up and it looks like it's gonna work pretty good. I will miss the fresh air but if I want to go back I can simply reinstall my originals. Here is a pic, I trimmed the plastic some to maximize space inside, and screwed the door shut to keep it from opening. I also cut the cable down but left the opening mechanism so it looks functional. The original kick panels should go right back on, over the speaker, I of course won't be using the grills. More pics to come.

I know some people have used the cougar pods for a similar install. i went this route because the cougar pods lack the vent mechanism and I want it to appear stock, using the original kick panels.

CJ Pony has repop vents. I ordered a set and sent them back. They are cheap lightweight Chinese crap with just silver paint instead of plastic chrome plating. That is why I decided to rebuild mine.

    Hey Chelby,
If you are still looking for your column, give Tim Baxter a call.  He has a junkyard in Shell Lake Wisconsin with over 300 old Mustangs.  Mention my name, Dan from Minneapolis with the 69 convertible and the work he did on my car in 1987 in the grain elevators near the Univerisity of Minnesota.   See if he as any tilt columns.  I think his number is 715-468-4451.  Do a google search for him, and you will read all sorts of stories.

I also know of a guy in Arkansas that has a bunch of Mustang parts, bought my 69 tach panel from him.  I don't think either of these guys bother with ebay or try to sell their stuff.  I will get his name tomorrow.

I moved the lower mount back to below the b pillar and can get full seat travel. I think it's the only way to get the belts to work properly and get proper clearance to the seat. Also rear passengers aren't tripping over seatbelts gettin in.

I can't see the pic from this PC.  Might be my network though.

Anyway, some folks have converted from 69 (fat) trim, to 70 trim (similar to the windshield trim).  This still requires some of those studs to be in place though.  You may need to do a bit of welding to get studs back in the proper place, depending on which trim you decide to use.
