Finally installed the rebuilt Cleveland. I had some clearance worries, but once I installed the Tremec TKO 600, which I had MDL machine the top covers on the TKO to provide more clearance on top to better match the stock alignment, my valve cover was no longer in contact with the brake booster....What a relief. Also my Sanderson Block Hugger shorty exhaust headers cleared everything, including the obnoxiously large GM style steering box I got from CPP. The next test was to install the shaker stack on top of my taller than stock Edelbrock Air Gap intake and hope it it fits under the hood. I used a (repro) 428 shaker base which is about 3/4" lower in height than a Cleveland base. First I had to re-clock the base to align the concaved area with the distributor. This turned the base from a 6:00 position on the 428 to about 7-8:00 o'clock on my Cleveland. With the Shaker stack in place, the height of the shaker scoop was perfect with the hood closed. Apparently the Cleveland sit farther back in the engine bay than the 428, so I needed to shift the plenum and scoop assembly forward on the base to fit thru the hood hole. Once I had it positioned and clocked correctly, I drilled new holes in the plenum for the mounting studs on the base. The most difficult part was fabricating two crescent shaped sheet metal filler pieces to close up the gaps between the base and plenum created as a result of shifting the base forward. these filler pieces were attached to the front and back between the base and the plenum. This created an offset ring on top of the base in a way like the factory Cleveland base has. Finally, I made a bracket to bolt to the back of the base to an existing mounting hole on the back of the Edelbrock intake to ensure the whole thing can not rotate on the carburetor since it is held only by the center stud thru the air cleaner lid. No clearance issues with my Holley Sniper EFI, or the Hyperspark Distributor. or with the throttle cable, which I had to add a small plate to the stock throttle bracket to extend it to align better with he Holley throttle linkage. I fabricated a mounting plate and mounted the Hyperspark Coil to the Edelbrock intake under the air cleaner base.
Installed the front end components... Four row copper radiator, Aftermarket six blade fan, Alternator, Sanden Compressor, Saginaw P/S pump with a Ford factory A/C mounted cooler. I fabricated the top plate over the Sanden compressor to mimic the mounting locations used on the factory York Compressor and mount the P/S cooler and Idler pulley bracket to it, just as it was from the factory York. 
I had to fabricate the P/S pump bracket and spacers to properly mount the Saginaw pump. This took a lot of time tweaking it until it was aligned with the water pump and crank pulleys.

Wet sanded with 320 grit & primed. Will wet sand this with 400 grit. If its smooth and flawless I'll shoot it with POR15 or KBS rust seal to give the fiberglass some additional protection from chips then final prime.


 

Certainly not tmi, at least for us older guys. I've got a couple of coffee/ lunch groups of retired coppers. Back in the day we used to talk about girls and catching bad guys. Now we talk about medical issues and grandkids.

Thanks but not back surgery, it was actually bladder & prostate. My urologist said if I let it go I would be stuck with a catheter the rest of my life. You don't realize what muscles help with bladder control and what happens when you strain too much and don't have the control you once had. It's a slow road to get that control back but its coming back a little at a time.  Sorry if that's TMI for any of you.

Started back on wet sanding the lower nose. First time this year I've been able to do anything on the car. Had minor surgery back in March, still recovering but able to do more now. Also tied up with having the kitchen completely remodeled, plumbing reworked under the slab, electrical rework, new cabinetry, the works. There probably won't be much progress on the car for a while on anything that will take money to accomplish. I will continue on the things that I can though.

Went with the smaller round lights down below. Added cut outs for the LED Audi A4 front marker lights. Wet sanded with 230 wet and re-primed using some leftover spray bomb primer. Most of that will get sanded off.

As far as I know, head rest that moves up and down was standard on 69.

I'm not MII literate, but it looks oem to me. I not aware of any MII aftermarket kits that use stamped metal crossmembers like you have. If you're planning on using the front suspension I'd address the holes where the upper control arms mount. Those holes should be oval so the bolts are captive, and not open where the bolts could slide out if then come loose. 

Actual mustang II? At least the crossmember looks to be a factory piece. Hubs are 5 lug though.

Yep, and they know all about inciting riots too! They think they disgraced President Trump today but ultimately, all they did was disgrace themselves and this country. And those ten republicans that sided with the criminal dems, they won't be forgotten.

Let me say some more. Many of our representatives are flipp'in spineless!  Everyone knows that this election was filled with fraud. Even the Democrats know this. It was their scheme all along. You can't change laws over night and you can't send out all those mail in ballots that require no signature verification and not know there will be fraud. And, even a little bit is bad. An election should be fair and without contestation. But, Democrats stand together in all things, even when their actions are based off blatant lies and falsehoods, i.e. .....Russian Collusion, Kavanaugh nomination, etc! Republicans, on the other hand, won't even stand together for truth! Right now, many are throwing our President under the bus and siding with the Democrats in impeachment! I despise them more than I do the Democrats. This is an outrage! I was not happy when Trump made his recent comments about VP Pence, but you know what, the more I thought about it, the more I think he was right. At the State of the Union Address, Pence stood right next to Pelosi as she tore up that speech. I don't believe for one minute that he did not see that. Right there, on the spot, he should have called her out. He's spineless. 
Yeah, we're screwed now and there is no going back. Democrats will now, unopposed, do exactly what they want to do with the full backing of the lying media and the censorship of social media. The fact that the censorship is going on right now, even unto our President, should speak volumes as to where we're headed. Moreover, the Dems are going after Trump even after he leaves office. And not just Trump, but those loyal to him. I feel for the future of my children, that they will not know the America that I grew up in. What's left? Prayer!

Congratulations President Elect Biden and soon to be President Biden! With that said, I’m going to need some help from my Democratic Liberal friends: 1. Can I borrow the #NotMyPresident hashtag or is that reserved for President Trump? 2. Who do I contact to see if Republicans are boycotting the Inauguration, like the Democrats did for President Trump? 3. Do I have to accept the election results, or can I cry for four years, claiming election interference? 4. Am I entitled to see Biden’s tax returns to learn how his income jumped dramatically in one year (I mean, we all know how and why. Just show the proof.)? 5. Am I allowed to trash anything that Biden says, without repercussion, because I’m just expressing myself? 6. Is there a sign-up somewhere for riots, do organizers call me, or how does that work, since I didn’t get my way? 7. Are businesses targeted because they supported Biden, or do I just pick a business that has something I want to take home? 8. Were the thousands of businesses that boarded up for fear of riots, for Conservatives or Liberals? If they were for Conservatives, did I miss the riots already??? 9. Where are the safe spaces at? Is there a map or something? I may need to go cry for a little while (because of how stupid our country has become). 10. Does all the free stuff your party has promised, just come or do I have to quit my job first? 11. What is the address you guys have been sending all that extra tax money to, since you think people aren’t paying enough in taxes? I’m sure you have been voluntarily sending in more than required... 12. When my 401K crashes, will the President Elect make up for that in give-a-ways, or am I just screwed? 13. Since Socialism is what you just voted in, if my neighbor has something I want, do I just take it or do I have to let him know I’m taking it (Personally, I have had my eye on the brand NEW Mercedes SUV, a couple of doors down ... I have seen the gatherings of Conservatives protesting the election results, but something is wrong, nothing is getting destroyed. Did you guys go to a class for that, or could you provide some pointers on how to do it right, please? 16. The Conservative gatherings were dubbed super spreader events, yet the protests and now election gatherings by Liberals, are not. Did you guys secretly come out with the vaccine? 17. Funny how the CDC has come up with a vaccine, soon after you were pronounced the President Elect. Can you, all your family, and colleagues take it first, to ensure it works? 18. So, now you are the President Elect and soon to be President Biden, Is every death now on you, or is it President Trump's responsibility, just at your convenience? 19. During Biden's State of the Union Address, is Nancy going to tear up the speech on national television, or does she only do that with President Trump? I’m sorry for all the questions, this is all new to me. I want to make sure I get it right!
