how much diff is 69 windsor heads vs gt40

my dads first mustang just became mine after 30 years of rust and a tree fall on the driver quater anyway im three years in on the build less than 400 horses in the pappy windsor 389 posi 9 inch . Dad wants 2800 stall and shiftkit in the fmx i dont want a neckbrace after a fridaynight of fun on the streets in our hometown. Can i get a mild shiftkit and is this stall right for our setup im new so im in the mist of getting some pics for ya guys thanks.....

Ok truth is i spent over 30 years watching this car rust. Finally dad let me save her. Dont know much seeing how its the first car i have ever built. Iv got a few local contacts but im looking for a deep rooted family of 69 nuts like myself to grow with. Im going to need help and more than anything a lil positive sopport. So yea ive spent about 8 grand so far on frame sand and soada blast primer 389 posi rear hardend seats in heads block work crank cam intake carb ya know upgrades for the windsor, alot on susspension all new. not mustang 2 original oem stuff anyway starten in on the fmx . dad wants a shift kit and 2800 stall but i dont want my head in the back seat everytime i want to play around can i get a mild shift kit and is this a good stall option for 400 horses and 389 gears
