TheRktmn reacted to 1969_Mach1 in Brakes extremely sensitive
The only time I have seen an over sensitive brake pedal was when something was wrong with the brake booster. First, is it the correct booster? 1969 was the year Ford switched from Midland to Bendix. Some early 1969's still got the Midland booster. They do interchange without any modifications. From what I understand, the Midland booster provides greater power assist but was unreliable compared to the Bendix booster.
*** Before you condemn the booster, follow Mach1Rider's and Jett 445's suggestion and make certain everything is correct.

TheRktmn reacted to Midlife in Electric choke
That's ACC hot. What you want for an electric choke is a RUN-only wire. In the engine compartment, the best source is the green/red wire at the voltage regulator plug. For 1970's only, there's a large white female bullet with a greyish-blue wire for the carb solenoid anti-backfire solenoid; that wire is also RUN-only.

Unless your shaker vacuum flap is always open, you're going to want some air to get to the carb. I cut a piece of perforated metal to size and used the screws to attach it.

Why is it they can fold and curl their way onto a 2x2 cushion but they need the ENTIRE couch to watch TV and a WHOLE king size bed at night?

TheRktmn reacted to KipDurran in Is the 69 deluxe clock available in the aftermarket ?
I just did that a couple of months ago for my car. I found a clock on Ebay with the panel. Of course the clock didn't work so I sent it in for a quartz movement upgrade. There is a guy on Ebay that sells replacement lenses as well. As for the panel, I went through a couple to find a decent one without a crack in it or melted plastic in the area where the light is.
I also had to get a re-popped glove box switch as well but the hole is there and it just pops in.
The wiring is all there and it is just plug and play.

Damn, not good at all. well, except for the fact that she knew she needed help. Dogs are so smart. Hell you'd have paid $1,000.

My dogs aren't the best guard dogs as they love people but Oaklin (big guy) is protective of me and Knox (little guy). They both love rides in the mustang (because it is fast) though their hair gets everywhere. Oaklin is an Australian shepherd husky mix and Knox is an American Eskimo husky mix.

Here's my two watch dogs, Sheba the Rottweiler-Newfoundland and Toby the Boxer-Labrador. Also known as Moose and Monkey. Sheba's the smart old girl, she's not as fast as she used to be but hangs in there like a left tackle. Toby's the speed demon. They both have a good bark, so strangers don't know how friendly they really are :)

Frankenstein, aka Frankie, Francis, loves to kick back in the shop. I do think he's a cat trapped in a dogs body as he loves to sleep during the day, but we love him anyway. Some knucklehead abandoned him about 5 years ago and was going to take him to the pound as they were leaving on vacation. He was a bit skittish for a while, who does that to doggies?

Every one needs a good dog to watch over those Mustangs .A dog to keep the bad guys away ,A dog to steal your pastrami sandwich ...what !...wait a minuet ,that was my sandwich ! Ok, who peed on my wheels ? Well lets see those dogs anyway .
These are my girls ,They are French, Great Pyrenees . The white one is Antionette ..Annie .The one with the grey mask is Suzette ...Suzy . They both go around 90 lbs.each . The males can get over 100 lbs. They are live stock guardian dogs .These dogs have been know to chase off wolves ,mountain lions and even bears .They are really not afraid of much . .They pretty well do what they want and need a lot of room to roam if they do not have a heard to watch over . They are very protective and very smart ,they will learn how to open doors and gates so we have to keep them locked .
They have teeth like a wolf and i sure wouldn't want to break in to a place and find one staring me in the face .And don't think about running ,they can out run just about anything ,but they are about the most loving dogs i have ever had ,to the point of actually giving you a hug .Suzy is the baby at just over a year old .

Rocketdog aka Rocky is my head of security and Lilly is my HR director.
Rocket is 3, Lilly is 7. In typical Golden fashion they both think they're 1 year old and only 10 lbs.
That gray furball behind Lilly is Smokey aka 'that damn cat'. Smokey has no job or title - he spends his days snorting catnip, ambushing the dogs and chasing imaginary things.

TheRktmn reacted to 1969_Mach1 in The "pink wire" again!
Unfortunately for non factory tach cars the pink wire starts at the ignition switch, is about 4 to 5 feet long and ends at the connector in the engine compartment near the back of the drivers side valve cover. It's the connector plug you are probably looking at that has the sending unit wires and original coil wire. For factory tach cars the pink wire starts at the tachometer and ends at the same connector n the engine compartment. Then the tach will not work unless it is retrofitted. It's a bit of a chore to bypass the resistor wire but it has to be done. Most people go directly to the ignition switch terminal that the resistor wire is attached to. Don't be surprised if the resistor wire is not an obvious pink color.
Ford didn't make it easy. At least you know its there. A lot of people don't believe one is there because it's not easy to find.
Here is a link to CJ pony parts for a new ignition switch pigtail. It shows the resistor wire already attached to it.
