  1. I used a mirror out of a 5.0 mustang convertible but the same mirror can be found in other makes of automobiles. Be sure to get the mirror, metal attachment that glues to the windshield and the plastic cover that covers the wires coming from the headliner. Since you have a convertible I suspect you can route your wires under the stainless top header since you have no headliner. The mirror attaches (glues) to windshield just like the stock one does. The mirror I got from pick-a-part had the same shoe as the stock '70 mirror but I don't think it was mounted the same distance down from the top as the '70 mirror was. I installed a new windshield so I'm not sure of the measurements. I like the fact that you have an overhead light source when you get into your car at night. I seldom used the map lights but they are there when needed.

  4. Thanks Midlife. I overlooked that email. Where/how do the "Connectors" for the door jam connect? I.e the one near the fuse block (3 wire-Black,Red, White), and the two wire connector near the top of the wire loom near the steering column ( 2 pin connector but appears to have 3 wires where two blacks go into one pin and the other appears to be white).
  5. Nice. I'm keeping an eye on this project. If you don't already have your Shelby Front fenders, I have a set that I never used. Cheers, Rik
  6. I'm no electrical expert and what Electrical Diagrams I've located has not clearly defined what these wires do and/or connect to. Any input is appreciated. Additionally, I want to toot MidLife's horn. Anyone interested in wire harness's should contact him first.
  7. I have a 70 Convertible that I'm interested in installing the rear view mirror with Map lights. What did you use and how did you install? Are you satisfied with the results?

    Cheers,

  10. Midlife. Your email responses were/are extremely helpful. Thank you Sir. Cheers
  11. I am a beginner of the Google+ suite but I gave it a try. I'm hoping to get answers on what these wires, "Duties" are. And, how they should be properly configured. Once you land on my Google+ page, Select the photo block for expanded pics. Cheers
  12. Here's a link to the job being performed, however, the wiring description is lacking.
  13. I'm going nuts trying to locate the wiring diagram that reflects the color codes in the "Plug" that snaps from the wiring harness the the Dash Cluster. I'm changing over from the stock analog setup to the Dakota Digital set. Their box claims to make it easy (If you know what the current wires do what...) Any help is appreciated. Cheers,
