  1. It mm. So 1 inch is 25mm. A 0 offset is center of the wheel. And a +12 means the offset is Almost 1/2 inch positive If a 8 wheel is a o and a 9 wheel has a +12 they should fit the same on the fender lip, but your 9 wheel will fit almost 1 inch closer to the inner finder. So you may not b able to run a 295
  2. Thanks, and yes I have thought about taking off the hood scoop. It would clean it up But since I'm not building a copy of one t/a car. I may just leave it. The 1969 Allen moffat boss (Mach 1). Ran the 351 scoop And so did some others t/a cars. When I first saw the matte black agent 47 69 mustang I thought matte black Was the color I needed for my 70. So that's kinda the idea for my build, a mix between an old school t/a boss and the matte black agent 47 mustang. I may even add boss 302 stripes to the car, I know some people don't like to see boss clones but even the bud Moore / team Shelby / Allen moffat and smoky Yunick's t/a cars were all R or M code cars.
  3. I'll take some pis this weekend As for a 15x9 with a 5.5bs, that's the same as A +12. I would think that should fit just fine
  4. Prayers1-The 15x8 are A 4.5bs that is the same as a o offset. Zippo- if you roll your fender you can tuck 235 in front and a 295 out back. I may try to tuck a 315 on my 15x8 wheels. If you want 15 inch wheels stick to 15x7 or 8 with anything around a 0 offset to -6 You can run a wider wheel but there hard to find with a good offset
  5. I'm running 15x7 and 15x8 AR torque thrust 2 wheels and 235/295 bfg's My car is 1.5 lower in the front and 1 in the back. I'm planning on dripping It 1 more inch In the front and back. With rolled fender lips I don't rub. I did have 8.5 torques out back but with 295's I would need fender flares. If u want pics just look at my build thread.
  6. top pis is the kar Kraft 1969 proto type boss 302 ta, this is how i want my stance to be. I have plans to Build a custom duel 3" side exit exhaust Build an aluminum chin spoiler Roll bar Custom gauge cluster Fiberglass bumpers Try to fit 315 tires out back Cut 1/2 coil on the new grab a track springs And install all my parts. Not sure on paint! May keep it matte black
  7. so far i have bought a toploader 4 speed , clutch pedel, fly wheel bell housing, boss style rear spoiler, gt35r style mirrors, 15x7 and 15x8 Ar wheels with 235 and 295 bfg tires grab a track springs F/B, pro car seats, and over $3k im body work (still need to install the springs, tranny, seats)
  8. hi all!! thought i would start a build thread on my 70 mach 1. i bought the car about a year ago in AZ. the car was a solid start and the previous owner had a good start to the project. rebuilt 351c 4v, rebuillt c4 auto, all new suspension, breaks, gas tank, fuel lines and the list goes on and on. the body was in fair shape, no rust and little body work. well at least the car is about 90% free of rust, as for body work, about 3 months at my buddys body shop and little over $3k later, now the body is in good shape. im in love with the 69/70 trans am boss 302's and knowing ill newer have a million bucks to buy a real team shelby or Bud moore t/a boss and i dont have the time or money to build a vintage race mustang, the next beat thing to do is build a trans am themed street mustang. my gole is to have a 400+hp 70 mustang with a toploader 4 speed slammed on the ground with 15 inch torqs and huge meets for tires, with a tilted rear wing, big chin spoiler and 3" duel side exhaust!!! and not to forget LOUD!!!! here a pic is from when i picked her up
  9. Welcome, Sounds like you have some big plans for your 69. What are you talking about with the 67 hood vents? ( 67/68 blinker hood?) And the 67 fender extension? You are wanting to move your grill lights to the center like a early 67 Shelby? The 67/68 grill is more of a flat grill, it might look funny to do that with a 69 grill, I think you should keep a 69/70 to looking like a 69/70 ( there is a ton of crazy stuff you can do with that body style, look at agent 47 ) and if your going for a Shelby look Buy a 67/68 coupe. Look at little red or the green hornet or black hornet. Also please no sunroof!!!
  10. I'm Definitely interested!!! Hood, trunk, end caps, what about dash trim, door panels?
  11. I know how you feel!! When I bought my 70 Mach, it was a clean ( never wrecked mustang) that just needed very little body work. After taking it to the body shop to prep it for paint, I ran into problem after problem, Now I have 2 new rear quarter, doors, and big bill from the frame shop. I thought about selling it a buying a 69/70 in better shape but after Looking a 3-4 different cars they were all in just as bad shape or worse Then my 70. Good luck.
  12. I have Shelby gt350r mirrors on my 70 ( same mirrors as Eleanor form Gone in 60 sec.) They look good but you can't see sh*t out of them. I can post pics if u want.
  13. Nice 69 I would do, 5 speed swap, disk brakes, better suspension, h pipe, New gauges, fix the back seat. And then go drive it.
  14. Ok thanks for the info, I was thinking that The 351w z bar would work. I'll look into that Clutch. What about fly wheel? I've had some people Tell me it needs to be a 28oz?
  15. I posted this earlier this year on vmf, but I still need info on the swap. I have a 70 Mach 1 351c 4v with a c4 auto, ps pb. Looking to do a 4 speed toploader swap. I have a Toploader (rug-av1 with the hurts shifter and linkage) I have a 64 tooth bell housing and fly wheel, and a pb clutch Pedal assembly, still need a clutch, Z-Bar Linkage Kit What is a good street clutch for my car? Do they make a 351c z bar kit?? ( I can only find 351w kits) Will a 351w z bar work?
  16. I had to roll and pull my fenders in the back to fit a 15x8 with a 295.
  17. Post up some pics when you get them on!! Are u running a auto? Or stick?
  18. It sounds like Sanderson are the way to Go, Are any of you guys running 4 speeds? I'm going to run 3" exhaust, so I'll have to get 3 collectors for them. Is that a option When ordering Sanderson headers?
  19. Thanks for your info, I'm not sure how low I'll go with the car, (around 2.5-3). But I do think long tube headers will be too low. I looked at your post about your headers being too low, and dang your Car is low!!! What suspension are u running? I'll look into the Sanderson headers
  20. I was wondering how low long tube headers Will hang? My 70 sits low. Maybe a shorty header will work better for me.
  21. Thanks, I'm worried about the and z bar getting in the way.
