  1. I'm having some starting issue on my 70 sportroof 351w 4 speed. Some thimes the car just won't start, not even turn over, almost like there is no battery. And some times it starts fine. A lot of the time when it doesn't start, I let the clutch out and then turn the Key. Then I put the clutch back in as soon as it starts to turn over. And sometimes I just have to flat out jump start it with the clutch out. Before I start replacing parts, where to start? Any ideas or anyone run into this before? I also have a light problem, they flicker bad when on, maybe it's related maybe not? Thanks for any help

  3. They are -6mm. But I run a Lincoln Versace 9 rear end. It's not as wide as a stock mustang 9

  6. Just a simple bolt in hoop with down bars, I know lots of places sell them, just didn't know if some fit better the others.

  10. Yes I'm running the stock heads, My vac advance is pluged, Should I try to tune the 600 Holley or just buy a different carb?

  12. Stock style radiator ( 3 years old). Stock fan shroud and stock style fan set up. I'm going to replace the stock old distributor with a PerTronix Distributor. Set up the vac. Advance and timing, see what happens from there. It's just odd, the car ran fine all summer last year until I changed the crab, and put short headers on. And I wasn't leaning towards the radiator, fan or shroud because how rapidly the temperature rises when the car was at idle, and then the temperature drops back down the second it started moving again. After buying my Holley 600 I realized I should of bought a 650, I'm thinking about the edelbrock 1806 Thunder AVS, 650 cfm Any suggestions??
  13. Engine: 69 351w 4v. Stock 4v intake, Hot cam, short headers 3 exhaust side exit. At the end of last summer I changed my stock autolite carb for a Holley 600 cfm squar bore electric choke. The car will sometimes over heat at idle but the temp gauge goes back to cool when driving. I can't figure it out? Is the stock intake a square bore ? Do I need to change to an edelbrock aluminum intake? What size carb should I run? Holley vs edelbrock? Also I'm not crazy about the Holley carb, Now I'm thinking maybe I should do a edelbrock 600 or 650. What are your thoughts? Thanks for any help.

  16. I'm looking for options for a rear seat delete for my 70 sportroof, does anyone know if a 65 r-model seat delete will work (fit). In a 69/70 ?
  17. I'm running headman short headers with my 351w toploader and ps. Had the exhaust shop hammer on the driver side header to fit, but they work well.
  18. Wonder if they make it with out the 6x9 speaker spots.
  19. Mikestang- you say you did reverse eye leaf in the back and the Shelby drop up front with a 1/2 of a coil cut out of the 620? Was the 620 already a 1" drop coil spring? That is what I ordered from mustang plus last week (620 1" drop front coil and 5 leaf reverse eye for the back) my plan is to cut 1/2 coil and do the Shelby drop. But I want the back to sit 1/2 inch higher then the front. Do you have any pics?

  21. The back will tuck under with stock axel ( may have to roll fender lip if your car sits low) The 15x7 -6 is the same as 3.75. And the 15x8 0offset is 4.5. I will have to take the wheel off to look at the backs and see where they were made.
  22. I'm going to put the torque thrust wheels up for sale as soon as I get the PSE wheels on. Specs are 15x7 -6 offset and 15x8 0 offset 235 and 295 BFG tires that are new. Cobra automotive long lugs And shelby flat caps. New I spent around $1400-1500 Make me an offer.
