  1. Same here, I'm embarrassed to just open my door in daylight. I get what I need and close it back up in case anyone wanders over, would be nice to just open it and see nothing but the car. One of my first priorities this spring is to put up a shed and get everything not car related out of the garage and in there.
  2. Well here's everyone's answer right here, rodbrady was right. OK, I'll make everyone a moderator then! (J/K) So in the meantime feel free to post some old links in this thread that you really need (don't flood me if not important please) and I will cross reference them for you guys and post the revised ones.
  3. I clicked on edit for your post and then clicked on full editor and it allowed me to remove them, I only removed 2 in case we need to trace their source or something. This is the second time I have been notified about this from a member since last night when it happened to Ridge Runner. I agree on the potential for embarrassment, it's always a good idea to use your "In Private" browsing when viewing questionable material though to avoid such things. Good luck with your recovery Ben, I have been trying to go thru the admin page and made some adjustments to some things but I don't see areas yet where I can make changes to upload files/sizes etc. I'll fool around with it more this weekend.
  4. Wow, that must be a bitch to keep dust free, yikes! While I would be fascinated to spend a whole day looking at every square inch in detail I find overall it is just a tad overdone and Ostentatious. Sometimes less is more, obviously money is no object for this person which is great but you could buy a couple more real cars with all that stuff he has.
  5. When you guys try to upload is this what your screen looks like? Showing a single photo 15 MB restriction? I'm looking right now to see if I can find something closer to the 15MB size but we should almost never need anything that big. It could be because I am the Admin but I am not having the issues that you all seem to be having.
  6. Now with basic uploader. Wallpaper1.bmp
  7. Testing a 6.27 MB file with the flash uploader. Wallpaper1.bmp
  8. Hmm, this topic was locked for some reason?!?!?! I unlocked it but it seems to have completely disappeared?!?!?!? we had almost 40 pages of ugly on there. I found this beast while looking at the restoration gallery over at Retrobuilt.
  9. I agree. That or unless you have big open wheels and want them mostly for show. They just aren't worth all the issues and expense in my book. Cars are still being made today with rear drums instead of 4 wheel discs, heck just last year GM went and changed their truck line back to rear drum. I have them on my 2000 Dodge Dakota and never once had an issue, they have lasted with their original shoes all this time unlike the numerous times I have had to replace the front pads and disc.
  10. I'll try to look into this today, I should have some free time with less spammers to Ban. I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the admin page, this site is very different in many ways and I'll need to go thru section by section to see what I can and cannot change.
  11. Hunh, could be I guess. Let's see if anyone else tries it and chimes in.
  12. There is an easier way to post online pics, just click the icon and paste the URL.
  13. I say pressure and I also prefer a mechanical gauge over an electrical one FWIW when it comes to monitoring your oil.
  14. OK so after digging up an old random thread of mine and then comparing you can see the URL is very different between the two sites, no real easy cross reference between the two. OLD FORUM: http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=5481 NEW FORUM: http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/41700-what-size-crown-for-the-convertible-top-staples If you click on the old link you will see the below message. However, if you then log in to the old site you will actually still see the proper thread you were trying to follow a link to so for sure you can still reference them that way . Also notice that in the new URL it actually contains the subject header in the link. It looks like if you take that and add quotation marks to each end of it the new search engine will find that exact thread you are looking for here. You could then save that new link instead of going to the old site. I tried it myself by entering "what size crown for the convertible top staples" and it gave me the exact result I wanted. Without adding the " " though it gave me 3 pages of threads for convertibles and in the order by date so this old thread was way at the bottom, the quotation marks are needed for ease and speed. Hope this helps. I don't know how long the old forum will still be operational so if you want to trade your old saved links for new ones I wouldn't waste time and get to it ASAP.
  15. I still haven't gotten around to installing my new top but I went from plastic to glass as well and I believe when I bought it from CJ oh so many years ago I bought a well liner too and only one was offered, this is the first I am hearing about the need for a deeper one. Hopefully I'll find out this spring as it is near the top of my todo list.,
  16. ROTFLMAO. Would you like a new one to go with the new site?
  17. Last time I checked you can still search the old forum, you just need to log in first in order to see them, otherwise you get redirected here. Might help for now anyway so you can have easy access to it quickly. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/ Meantime I will compare some old threads to the converted ones ASAP and see if I can find some logic to it that can help everyone reference them.
  18. I do, I might not be able to measure it until the weekend but will do so by then if you don't get a reference form someone else sooner.
  19. Soooo happy not having to Ban anyone this week!

    1. bswor

      bswor

What are you going to do with that free time!

  20. There aren't a lot of '70 convertibles but I'm sure we have more owners here then anywhere else, someone will chime in. I can't imagine a '69 would be any different in this case.
  21. If you are going for the shaved look I can see why you wouldn't want them then, they would look oddly out of place with everything else lean and clean. There are probably a lot more cars not using them than are.
  22. Try sending a note to el70gato he has been parting out a lot of '69/'70 cars lately, he may have a set of '70 spindles.
